...Look into a Guys Mind Amber Guenon Tall, dark, and handsome are just some characteristics that a female would want in her man. Throw in a crooked smile and a warm body to cuddle up with, and a girl would be set and stone with this guy. But, wait she’s dreaming she could never get a guy like that unless he’s looking for the same thing, right? What does a guy look for in a girl anyway? Do they want skinny, blonde, dumb, and will absolutely do anything for him (like make a sandwich)? That is what most girls would believe about a guy, that all they care about is looks and sex. Well that isn’t the case so I have found out recently. I have created a survey with 15 simple questions that I know a guy would understand; I had 25 men take this survey and be completely honest throughout the questions. Guys ranged through the high school from 15-17 years of age, all who have different outcomes of what they look for in a girl. First will be body type, second will be about the women sense of style, and thirdly the women’s maturity and sex drive. Let’s see what you boys’ have said. Bodies type what could this mean to a guy? The #1 question asked, “Do you prefer a female with a small built, medium built, or a large built body?” Out of those 25 men 85% wanted a medium built woman, 10% wanted a skinny woman, and nobody wanted a bigger woman. Leading to our next question was what they’re perfect female height, weight, and age would be. The men averaged out to about 5 foot 6 inches for their...

...For most little girls, growing up wishing to become a princess and finding their Prince Charming is nothing out of the ordinary. From the very first Disney princess movies in the early 1900s, young girls are portrayed naturally falling in love with the princess characters. However, the fairy tale ideals these movies contain are only in place to mask the negative impact that they are actually having on young girls. For years these movies have been teaching girls to be sweet, emotional and a damsel in distress so that their Prince Charming will fall in love with them and save them from danger. This trend is shown in multiple Disney princess movies where the princesses are dependent on their prince, these insecure and naïve princesses are not the role models that young girls...

...Do you think girls and boys should play on the same team together? My answer is no, why, because girls can easily get hurt. Many girls have been hurt playing sports with boys. Also, girls are not as aggressive. This one fact can change the whole game. Girls may not play as hard boys. Anyways, it is fun to root for a friend that is a girl. Additionally, boys wouldn't paly as hard against a girl as they would towards another girl as they would towards another boy. Most boys would want to keep it simple. The boys would like to keep it simple because boys would look bad either way. Imagine, if a boy beats a girls at a game, the girls will complain, that's not fair. If a girl beats a boy at a game, they will hoot and shout about how they won against a boy. Also, what is two plus two, the answer is four, right? Then chane the first two to a negative two, you have just made things a lot more complicated. How, because negative two plus two does not equal four, it now equals zero. See what just putting a negative in front of a number does, imagine what would happen if you put girls in sports....

...eyes alone are the most powerful weapon of these supernatural creatures. Thesis Sentence Moving on to my interpretation of the true monster in “The Girl with the Hungry Eyes” by Fritz Leiber is the girl herself. Context The story is about a freelance photographer Dave, who is currently in a deep financial crisis until a young mysterious woman knocks on his door and changes his fate. This woman has no past experience with modeling and there is nothing specifically special about her either except for her eyes. But despite all this her photographs become a success in the advertising agency and everyone wants to get a hold of her. The trouble however is that she only works in very mysterious circumstances with only the photographer and has a rule that she does not like to followed. The photographer is making money off of her hand over fist, but the temptation to be with her outside of the studio becomes greater and greater, even it means that he has to put an end to his new source of income. Reasoning Behind Thesis I believe that the true monster in the story “The Girl with the Hungry Eyes” by Fritz Leiber is the girl because of some of the incidents I found in the story such as 1) How she would have everyone under a spell as soon as someone saw her photograph, 2) How she had very mysteriously powerful senses of knowing what was happening in her surroundings, 3) How a person was found dead right after he was last seen with her in his car by Dave & 4) The way she was demanding...

It stopped at this junction for two minutes and went to Madrid. ‘What should we drink?’ the girl asked. She had taken off her hat and put it on the table. ‘It’s pretty hot,’ the man said. ‘Let’s drink beer.’ ‘Dos cervezas,’ the man said into the curtain. ‘Big ones?’ a woman asked from the doorway. ‘Yes. Two big ones.’ The woman brought two glasses of beer and two felt pads. She put the felt pads and the beer glass on the table and looked at the man and the girl. The girl was looking off at the line of hills. They were white in the sun and the country was brown and dry. ‘They look like white elephants,’ she said. ‘I’ve never seen one,’ the man drank his beer. ‘No, you wouldn’t have.’ ‘I might have,’ the man said. ‘Just because you say I wouldn’t have doesn’t prove anything.’ The girl looked at the bead curtain. ‘They’ve painted something on it,’ she said. ‘What does it say?’ ‘Anis del Toro. It’s a drink.’ ‘Could we try it?’ The man called ‘Listen’ through the curtain. The woman came out from the bar. ‘Four reales.’ ‘We want two Anis del Toro.’ ‘With water?’ ‘Do you want it with water?’ ‘I don’t know,’ the girl said. ‘Is it good with water?’ ‘It’s all right.’ ‘You want them with water?’ asked the woman. ‘Yes, with water.’ ‘It tastes like liquorice,’ the girl said and put the glass down. ‘That’s the way...

...station there was the warm shadow of the building and a curtain, made of strings of bamboo beads, hung across the open door into the bar, to keep out flies. The American and the girl with him sat at a table in the shade, outside the building. It was very hot and the express from Barcelona would come in forty minutes. It stopped at this junction for two minutes and went to Madrid."What should we drink?" the girl asked. She had taken off her hat and put it on the table."It's pretty hot," the man said. She put the felt pads and the beer glass on the table and looked at the man and the girl. The girl was looking off at the line of hills. They were white in the sun and the country was brown and dry. Ironic symbol—the hills, traditionally a symbol of attractiveness, beauty, tranquility, appear to Jig as not having these qualities. "They look like white elephants," she said. ...story Hemingway uses symbolism to show two different paths the couple may choose to take; the fertile green side or the barren side with the white hills. The paths are two train tracks on either side of the train station. Although Hemingway may leave the ending of the story up to the reader, I think it can be argued that the couple didn’t go through with the abortion. The setting and surroundings of the train station are very important because they symbolize the two paths the couple may take. In the beginning of the story Hemingway explains the setting, “On this side there was no shade and no trees/ The girl was looking off at the line of hills. They were white in the sun and country was brown and dry” (Hemingway 132). This is the side where the couple is sitting as they drink. This side symbolizes abortion because it is so barren, and the white hills are also on that side. The girl states in the story that the white hills look like “white elephants” to her. A white elephant can be symbolized as something unwanted or useless, in this case the baby may be considered a white elephant. On the other side of the train station the scenery is much different; Hemingway explains, “Across, on the other side, were fields of grain and trees along the banks of the Ebro” (134). This side symbolizes fertility because it is so full of life. The couple can make a decision to take either path, and although through out the story they talk about getting the abortion in the end they decide to take the...

... Abstract Barbie dolls have been around for many years and many young girls have gotten a Barbie as a gift at some time in their lives. Barbie is made out of plastic and has unrealistic features to her. Her body proportions are not possible and her look only relates to less than half of the human population. Barbie has the perfect, dream world where she has her dream car, house, an impeccable wardrobe, and of course the man of her dreams. Many girls grow up and admire Barbie for her looks and all the materialistic things she has and will probably grow up wanting to be just like her. This can lead to them wanting to dress in mini skirts and short-shorts at a young age and can lead to prostitution in the future. One simple doll can change the lives of young girls and parents may not even realize it. Keywords: Barbie, unrealistic features, young girls “I’m a blond bimbo girl, in a fantasy world, dress me up, make it tight.” Those are some of the lyrics of Barbie Girl by Aqua who sung a song about a Barbie doll and how she lives this perfect, materialistic world with her true love Ken. Looking back into my child hood. I was never the little girl who played with Barbie’s or had an obsession with having every addition. In other cases though, many girls are influenced by the doll and can have negative effects in their lives. Parents do not realize the effects that a Barbie doll can have on a little girl. Parents may think they are buying the perfect toy for their child, not knowing...

...being perceived in such a way, the only thing that gives women absolute power over men is their physical appearance, a man goes weak for a beautiful female. The sad thing is that we have let society define the beauty of a women and a major part of this society is the media. Women have always been perceived and portrayed as sex symbols, as if that is what they are only good for. Men and others in society don’t care about a woman’s intelligence if they look good. Our society has let a woman’s looks overshadow everything else that she is. Our society, has constructed itself into a society so image obsessed when it comes to women, in which color, body figure, and every aspect of a woman’s face is the source to why people approve or disapprove of that woman. Media affects the way young girls and adult women all around the world view themselves. This is why our generation of women is so self-conscious about their physical appearance, and this is affecting their health. There are many methods in which the media encourages women to disfigure and damage their bodies. Even celebrities and models, which are the people that represent what women should look like, suffer because of the way the media makes people perceive them. Society and the media are absolutely obsessed with physical female perfection, which prevents many women from...
