I feel the gun laws should have been made more strict after Kennedy’s assassination. But making the laws strict would affect the people that already own guns. Therefore the second amendment was not changed drastically but now requires more background research into the person wanting to purchase a firearm. All firearms are usually sold under the second amendment to law biding citizens that have clean backgrounds. This however is not enough to stop people from purchasing guns off the black market or off the street which causes the everyday safety of the American people to be breached. There was a time where safety of the people was all that mattered, now it’s controlling the riots, shootings, and everyday domestic violence.
