What struggles have you faces in your life? Everyone has obstacles that they have to overcome. Its part of being human. As a human, I have made mistakes in my life and I have regrets that I wish I could fix but, I can't because they're in the past. I’m not perfect and I will never claim to be. Why do I deserve this scholarship? The answer is quite simple. I’m an imperfect human like you who has regrets, who has faced adversity, and who passionately desires to make the world a better place. Regrets and past mistake helped formed who we are.
In my life, I look back at the times where I remained silent when someone was getting bullied or harassed by a fellow peer. I was terrified to be anymore different than I already was. So I never said a word. I was silent because I had been bullied myself and scared it would happen again. So I remained silent. I didn't speak because I was afraid no one would back me up and be a bystander like I was. So I remained silent. One day I realized that I need to stop standing by so I stood up for my self and others. It wasn't an easy thing for me to accomplish but I still did. In junior year of high school, I was unable to see correctly after a mile run in P.E. Your vision turns to you seeing two of everything and everything is blurry. This mystery condition causes you to go from doctor to doctor wondering what is wrong. I was eventually diagnosed with eye spasms. I was given a treatment until it went away on its own. My condition caused me to be weeks behind in school. I made up weeks of homework of homework and tests in about 2 weeks. I still managed to pass my class even though I was so far behind. I had to fight and work incredibly hard to get caught up but, I still did it. Despite what happened to me my burning passion to help people never
