Dear Uncle Greg,

I’m writing to you today to just say thank you. Thank you for the inspiration u have given me to continue track and inspire to work hard on basketball and possibly football come fall. You inspire me to never give up, work hard, and be the best I can be. I plan to focus and work on my road ahead as soon as the weather warms up a little bit. You inspire me to become great whether it be with sports or academics. I don’t really know why I think this but there is just something about you that pushes me to achieve great things. Because of you, I set some personal goals that I would like your help to achieve them. One goal is to make the basketball team and be a starter for most of the games. Two, work out to improve my overall health and really get me prepared for next year. Lastly, I would like your help just to push me in anything I do such as sports and schooling. Through your inspiration, I have become a better person if though it may not be noticeable right now. I have the willingness and the heart to strive for what I want and believe in. From the support I was given about not making the basketball team, it opened my eyes and I realized that I have to work for what I want. That why I want your help, I’m ready to get prepared for basketball and football and I’m ready to work out and become bigger but I need someone to push me. Overall I just want to thank you for what you have done and given to me, I can’t tell you how grateful I am to have you in my life and as my Uncle. After working hard all summer, I can’t wait to see what next year has to offer.

Sincerely,
Logan

...Quite a mouthful isn't it? Say it fast and you'll trip over the words most likely. I saw this phrase on a church marquis as I was driving and it sparked my interest to the point that I thought about what it could mean. Here are my thoughts. To aspire simply means to have a yearning or desire to do something and strive to do it. An aspiring individual is ambitious, hopeful and enthusiastic. This is the kind of person you'd want as a team player in your business for he would keep spirits up and the momentum flowing. Inspire on the other hand refers to the spirit of encouragement as well as the ability to stimulate creative activity. It is that internal spark needed to make things happen - basically to get off the sofa and get into action. An inspiring individual is uplifting, stimulating, exciting and motivates. This person can light the fire needed to begin the action. This is exactly what a coach does - lights a fire within their client to make changes. What is a coach? Simply a guide who ascertains a perspective outside the life "game" that the client is in the midst of. As a player in the middle of the game it is hard to see all perspectives since that person is concentrating on their position and viewpoint. An outsider can often see the greater picture and offer new thoughts while encouraging and stimulating the individual into action. As individuals travel their life path they often find themselves in a place of feeling stuck. Perhaps they've been playing their life "game"...

...Jr. THEO201_D24_201220 Short Essay #1 Short Essay on Inerrancy and Inspiration In 2nd Timothy 3:16 it says “All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness” (KJV). It says all scripture is given by inspiration of GOD. According to the Biblical Argument we should believe in inerrancy because the Bible teaches it own inerrancy. We should accept the Bible’s claim about itself. So the Bible’s authority comes from the inspiration of GOD, because God is the author of the Bible. Biblical Authority must begin with God himself. For in him all authority is located. God is his own authority, for there is nothing outside of Him on which his authority was founded. So the Bible is GOD’s word and if there was nothing before GOD to base the Bible on then GOD is his own authority as well as His word. When it comes to the Bible inspiration is the guidance or influence of the Holy Spirit on human writers of Scripture so that GOD controlled them in such a way that what they wrote was exactly what GOD wanted to say without error. Whatever GOD wanted to say in the scripture, His Holy Spirit inspired the writer of the scripture to write exactly what GOD wanted, how GOD wanted it, and the way GOD wanted it written without error or human flaw. Isaiah 55:8 says “For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD.” This is why the Bible is without error. If we say...

Methods of Creating Music

...Some ideas and advice to enhance your music writing experience: 1. Write the Lyrics for Your Song Many musicians write their own melodies as well as the lyrics. If you already have lyrics, consider them when writing your melody. Some questions to ask yourself before composing the music are: What words do I want to focus on? Are there note lengths or timing that will accommodate certain words better than others will? Consider the following line: I DROVE my CAR down the HIGHWAY. The emphasized words DROVE, CAR and HIGHWAY give the listener an idea of what is going on, even if these are the only words they hear. On the other hand, if you sing the same line but emphasize different words: I drove MY car DOWN THE highway. The listener might have no idea what you're singing about. You can emphasize words with a louder note, changing the note itself, a longer note or including a rest before or after the note. Experiment with your song and see what sounds the best. 2. Listen to and Learn from Other Composers There is something to be learned from every single musician or band out there. Listen to how your favorite musicians construct their songs—examine the style, the tone, how different instruments work together and so on and so forth. You can implement many of the same ideas into your own music or even take some of their riffs and tweak them to fit your style. This is a great way to come up with new melodies. 3. Use Music Composition Software Music composition software...

The authority of the Bible and where it came from? b. Inspiration and Biblical Support. c. The validity of the Arguments of Inerrancy with Biblical Support. d. The relationship between inspiration and inerrancy. e. Living as what I proclaim to be. Conclusion Introduction Millions of people in the world today are looking for something. Some have an idea where to find it, yet others question the very validity of God’s word. During my walk with Christ this question has been asked more than once and sometimes not nearly enough.”What does it mean to say that the Bible has “Authority, and how do we know for sure where the Authority of the Bible came?” The interesting thing is when you do explain the truth of God’s word to today’s society; society is still inept to believe Hollywood before it understands the authority of God’s word. Let’s consider the Atheist beliefs. Atheism is, in a broad sense, the rejection of belief in the existence of deities. In a narrower sense, atheism is specifically the position that there are no deities. Most inclusively, atheism is the absence of belief that any deities exist. Atheism is...

Go-Getter-Personal Narrative

...there is one thing I believe with all my heart, it’s in being a go-getter. As Jack London said, “You can't wait for inspiration. You have to go after it with a club.” Of course, going after things with a club is an intimidating prospect, and so is being a go-getter. I spent a long time trying to let fate decide my path, and an even longer time being too shy to make the world hear my demands. If I were to describe myself four years ago, there wouldn’t be much to say. I didn’t put in more effort than necessary, I didn’t have any hobbies, and I certainly wasn’t assertive. It sounds overdramatic and cliched to say it all changed for me after entering high school, but it did. Of course, it didn’t wash over me as soon as I stepped on campus. There was no magical revelation of my life’s purpose, no amazing transformation from a caterpillar to a butterfly. In fact, the change started as an inkling of a thought when the first round of ice breakers started in my new classes. “Wow,” I’d thought, multiple times that day, “I really need to get a life.”...

Every artist featured in the museum had a different style of their own art which was shone through the colors, textures, and form of every original piece. The first ceramic piece that caught my attention was titled “Florence Ceramics, Elizabeth on Settle.” The piece was a gift of Doug Foland, author of The Florence...

Bibliography

...Romero THEO201 B29 Short Essay # 1 Short Essay on Bibliography Bibliology from the Greek word βιβλιογραφία, bibliographia, is book writing. On its own it simply means the study of the bible. With it come the ideas of inspirations and inerrancy. The Bible is both and can be seen in its content. Being a once three time born-again Catholic, did all the steps while living with my parents, I can relate to having to be confident that what the bible says is true to its nature. The authority of the Bible comes from the Bible itself. We must begin with the beginning. Like it says in the Bible the beginning of all is with God. So with this we must begin with God himself. This is evident in Exodus 4:22 (New American Standard Bible), ‘…Thus says the Lord,’ and many other verses just like it. This happens numerous times in the bible that no one can take away anything different than that. Also, it says in Hebrews 6:13, ‘for when God made the promise to Abraham, since He could swear by no one greater, He swore by Himself.’ This is what makes God authority over everything. This direct quote explains who God really is and where he gets his authority from. Thus the Bible being the spoken words of God this also makes the Bible have authority. Inspiration as defined by Towns(Theology for Today, 897) is, ‘the supernatural guidance of the writers of Scripture by the Spirit of God, whereby what they wrote became the divine Word of God, transcribed accurately, reliably and without...
