Why did you use these specific quotes for the story? I tried to use the quotes that conveyed emotions from my interviewees and that really explained what it was like to grow up with a family member with a cochlear implant.
Why interview these specific individuals?
• I interviewed Cecilia’s mother, because she has memory of Cecilia’s early years and what it was like to raise Cecilia.

Who was your target audience(s)? What specific publication(s) would this be best suited for?
My target audience for this story would be pretty much anyone, but mainly people with an interest in either hearing loss (parents of or individuals with hearing…show more content… I didn’t go into a lot of the science behind hearing loss or cochlear implants, so the average person can understand even without any prior background knowledge.
Why do you think the lede and nutgraph paragraphs are effective?
I think my lede is creative and effective, because it captures your attention with a catchy phrase that every one has heard and associates with hearing, but in the way of bad reception rather than actual hearing loss. I hope that my lede makes others want to continue reading. I think that my nutgraph is effective, because it give information about my overall topic without giving away all of the information. This makes the reader want to keep reading the story in order to get all of the details.
