...The three places that I had been to where all different there own ways but also the same in many aspects as well. The three places I went to were Early LCC, LMT, and EC3. Of the three places Early LCC had the biggest room for the children in the class. With the room being able to hold the twelve children in the room. In the Early LCC room was many things that were to be there at all times, such as the loft, kitchen, bear blocks, baby dolls, blocks, cars, sensory table, and an easel. There are also three tables with chairs at all of them at the children’s height so that the children could touch the floors and a hammock for the caregivers and children to sit in together. The Early LCC room is large and allows for a lot of changing and adding...

...How to be a better General manger As someone wise said ''start with the end in mind '' before this class I only know what the end was but not the process of push start. for me before class I see it like there was a taxi waiting outside of my house I know I want him to take me to the best places I just did not know how I am going to lead him there. So vivid management class was all about bringing people together and work together to get the job done I just did not know how to bring them to one place work together. Coming from low masculinity highly collectivist country where things are yet in the process of growing people are taught that they must look after one another, guide the young once, remain with old family values and at the end of the day regardless of how a horrible day that you had, saw a young boy get hit by a car or you just came from your daughter’s wedding and she is expecting a baby. You have to share your news with the people that cares about you and they make sure you get the best treatment regardless when you get to the house at all time because they yet not know if you had good or bad news for them always making sure the napkin or the knife is there to cut the cake. In my country Ethiopia there is one thing that takes huge part of peoples day to day life in every corner every town and every single house and for most people it is internet that made the people stay connected with each other instantly so easy you don't even have to meet the person...

Mike was stunned... he was literally being dragged out by Christie because his mind was too numb at the moment to perform any action. "Christie stop!" Mike finally shouted as they got out of the party hall into the parking lot. "Mike, you don't know what just happened... do you?" "Of course, I don't know and that's why I've been asking you for the last hour WHAT'S WRONG?" "Mike they died!" "Who died?" "Mike, the apartment caught on fire and they were all there, Bob, Walter, Jake, and Samantha... they were all there." "You're kidding me... right?" "No, am not... I just got a call from Samantha's neighbor, she broke the news to me. She said that the rescue team is there but... but..." "But what?" "I don' t know..." Christie broke into tears. "Christie, hey... look up! Nothing will happen to them okay... nothing! Just get in the car and let's go there okay, believe me, they all will be fine." A Day Before "Hey Christie, did you get that invitation for Kate's party?" Samantha asked Christie who was busy painting her nails. "Of course I did... do you seriously think...

...SHOPPING BEHAVIOUR Shopping is really a very nice thing if I want to buy something for myself. Shopping is not always entertaining but if I want to buy something for myself of course shopping is good. I do shop or I do buy things from shopping malls for several different reasons. For example, I do buy my personal things, sometimes I buy households, Sometimes I I need to go in the shopping malls to buy gifts formal occasion or to buy something for closer one. I used to do window shopping with my friends, sometimes as well some personal things this is very simple. I do go in the shopping malls usually once or twice a month to buy my cloths, computer accessories, books or something whatever I need. If I need some medicines then I also go in the shopping malls to buy that. But basically I go in the shopping malls to buy different kind of cloths for myself or I go in the library to buy books. This is my patience to collect and buy more and more books. This is what I enjoy very much. But which is quite boring to me is buying the households. I need to go shopping malls sometimes to buy some household things. For examples – vegetables, bed sheets, different kind of stuffs like flower base, flower, meet, fish all there things for my house and utensils as well. So buying this things are quite mandatory for our house and most of the time I used to do the work for our family. But this is not really enjoying. This is what I do really because this is essential for our family. Another thing...

How soon can we get our management team into place over there in Italy and phase out their current staff? I’ve heard how slow and inefficient Italian businesses are, and I don’t want to waste time getting our company’s policies in action. Maybe we can get a head start on the European competition with good old American know-how. It’s not going to be that easy, Dave. I think it might be a mistake to send our people. ...Plan The way that I would manage my stress would be in many ways. When I have too many problems with whatever is is I have problems with that get me stressed out, I do a lot of different types of steps to see which one works for me. I would identify the problem and address as well. The way I would do that would be by seeking advice from a family member and learn from their experience on how to better handle my situation or my problems. Another way that I would try to take care of my problem or stress would be by taking a big assignment and to make lists or time lines. I would either be at work on a slow day and grab a piece of paper and pen and start writing a list of something to get accomplished or to get me distracted. Also, for me I like to ask my manager if he has any team associated work for me so I can also focus on that and see how other people work together. I try to void stress as much as I can. I know that everyone has stress, but there are things that I could stay away from that really stress me out. I can and will avoid certain people, like negative people or people that give me a hard time just because they want to. I can and will avoid certain places, like really loud places or places that remind me about stressful situations. I can also avoid certain things, like thinking too much about just one situation that gets me stressed out. I can avoid certain memories that create pain for me, like ex partners or deceased family members. I need to learn how to...

...eat they want to know they are getting fresh food, professional service. They want to come to a place they can relax and enjoy their meal and feel right at home. This is the main reason I have created the ideal place, the kind of place that will fit anyone’s life-style weather busy or relaxed. This is the place where things are done on the customer’s terms. They choose the kind of service they would like to have, how they want to pay and where they would like to sit. When you walk in, the atmosphere is always pleasant and friendly. This is the place where customers are not over crowded with tables and chairs. It has an open floor plan. This place is different than the rest, the name tells it all! “That One Place.” The menu is designed around simple phrases that everyone will remember and most likely use on a daily basis. This is the place where you can use words that are not professional words and not expected to speak proper grammar. These would be; whatever’s, I don’t cares, thing-a-majigs, what-cha-ma-call-its, dang it’s, I guess so’s, cookie things, strawberry stuff, one with the nuts, that’ll works, sure’s, doesn’t matters, I don’t knows, whatever he/she has, that one kind and many more. This is the place customers can say these words and do not have to worry about offending anyone. “That One Place” is four places in one, a coffee shop, bakery, bookstore, and a restaurant. No matter where you sit, you are still at “That One Place.” This is the place to come when you want...

...become less judgmental, at least for that moment. That will be one of the themes with this EP- promoting non-judgment, On the part of everyone. I feel that here at cambridge for instance, there is too much judgement ingrained in the community regarding business and finance. There is judgment about social welfare. One is good one is bad. Most of our class is studying finance, and from who I have met so far, most of our class come from good families, have a sense of values, and have very VERY warm hearts and open minds. They are good people, They are creative thinkers, they are funny, they are multidimensional. They want to learn from you. They wanted to leave their country and meet people from other cultures. They want to KNOW about other cultures, they want to share their passions and interests and couple that with learning about yours. We are intellectually curious. We are open to discussion about virtually anything. We all respect each other. Everyone is so nice, so friendly so warm. I feel that I have already learned a LOT about who I am. I am EXTREMELY intellectually curious. I didn’t realize how much so until I got to Cambridge. Cambridge is an environment that prompts you to think and ask questions and re-evaluate everything, on a daily basis. I have read more books at this point on topics outside of finance than I have for my classes. That type...

...Everything I live in a very small town in Western Wisconsin, by the name of Grantsburg it is a very close knit community where everyone seems to know everyone or related to someone who knows their neighbors. My wife and I just purchased a home in this small rural town, and we are still getting to know everyone and how the town really seems to function as far as, how community members get along and mingle with each other. But I personally feel that there are many people in my community whom look a lot alike one another. I say this because we do not have many people who are not Caucasian. I also think that many of the people in my community come from the same or similar ethnic backgrounds. There for we all have similar facial characteristics as well as often times the same or similar hair and eye colors. If I were to give a best effort guess, I would say that 85 to 90 percent of my local community is of the Caucasian race and the other 10 to 15 percent are of another race, whether it be Asian, African American, Chinese, Japanese, or Mexican. If you cannot tell I was not kidding when I said that I live in a very rural area which is also close knit and everyone knows everyone. There are very few people of different races or ethnic backgrounds that reside in my community or for that matter even in my state. I would personally have to say that the leaders in my community seem to treat everyone in our community the same people who look like themselves. I also do not see...

...Week1 I think that it truly depends on the person and that person alone. Anyone can learn something, but then he or she will have to be willing to take the step to actually make that change. I feel that you can send anyone to a class to learn how to emotionally intelligent, but it is the matter if they actually take what they learned back into their jobs. I feel that it does start with our supervisors who have to teach us the right way. In order for us to do our job correctly we need to be taught and molded the right way. So yes we can learn it, it is just the matter of taking it all in and really using it in ways that we work. I also think that everyone is emotionally intelligent in their own way and how we decide to use it or when is entirely up to us as adults. What are the personal characteristics that you believe would contribute to the success of leaders? I feel that in order to be a successful leader you have to want to be in that particular position. I think that in order to be a good leader you have to have listening skills, be fair, and know what you are doing. I have seen too many people in leadership positions that cannot handle the pressure or their own employees. I think that being a good listener is something that employees want so that if they have any problems they can express them and be heard. Being fair to all employees is something else that you have to do. You cannot show favoritism because you like one person better or be mean to someone that you do...

This is the guy who said, ‘this is not me, this is yesterday’s breakfast. And when this is gone doesn’t mean I am gone, it means that you need to find other ways to communicate with me.’” And I actually just got an email yesterday from a woman who said, “Oh! I’ve been dreaming about Bucky Fuller and I actually saw him in the mall the other day.” And I am like, “Whoa! This is pretty interesting she’s in Australia.” And I think that his influence is like everywhere. [0:02:27] What I decided was that I was going to do -- that he had conducted a 56 year experiment to determine and document what one individual could achieve that could not be accomplished by any religion, government, organization of any kind. So it’s basically what one man can do and he documented it and I said, “Well, when somebody does an experiment, you don’t just archive it away. You actually examine it.” So that’s what I’d spent the last 30 years doing literally. And doing what he told us to do, which is what all the great teachers say, they all say, don’t believe a word I say, don’t believe a word I wrote, right...

... Liao, I am Pan Yi, a Year Two undergraduate Economics and Finance major student living in New College for 2 years. I am writing this letter to appeal my unsuccessful readmission result. This appeal letter aims to provide justifications to why I believe I am a strong applicant who deserves readmission for the coming year and why I sincerely hope the management team will reconsider my case. This is to let you know that HKU has selected me for a summer exchange programme in the US, which means I have to leave on 25 May, and come back around 23 August. If my application is dismissed without strong justified reasons, I will be homeless when I come back. At that time, it would be rather hard and difficult, even impossible for me to rent a flat before the new semester starts within a week, and I have no place to stay during that period as well. Because most of the rents and contracts start from June, and I will not be in Hong Kong, it is impossible for me to find a flat now and I am not financially capable to rent a house on my own. If you ask me why haven’t I started looking for a house earlier, that’s because I was really confident that due to my devotion to New College I will be given an opportunity to stay back and keep on contributing to a place that is not just a place for me to ...

...other roommate) and me to help bring it in. I was initially opposed...we already had a couch and didn't need another. There were other pieces of furniture we could use (dining room chairs or a table to replace our lawn chairs and lawn table, for example), but I didn't want to get involved with whatever shenanigans that will come over just getting a *second couch*. But eventually, Jonathan talked Ari and me into helping. (Our reservations had been that we thought he was going to ask us to split the cost of the furniture, reasoning that each of us would be using it. I was opposed to the prospect of paying, even in part, for furniture that I had never seen before, but it turned out that the furniture was free -- Jonathan's mom's friend was giving away the furniture, not selling it.) Soon, the day came for us to help move the furniture and we went to U-Haul to pick up the truck that Jonathan had reserved. We took Ari's car to the U-Haul place, and the plan was that Jon would drive the U-Haul truck to his mom's friend's apartment, I would be his navigator (ughggghhh), and then Ari would follow with his car, so he didn't have to leave his nice car at the U-Haul place. ...well, it turned out that Jon's driver's license expired, so he couldn't drive the U-Haul. I asked him, "Did you know your driver's license had expired? How long have you been driving with an expired license?" Jon replied, "It expired on my birthday last month...but I got it renewed in advance, so I'm not driving...
