After so many months being alone, in my own misery, without anyone looking at me in that gloomy store, someone saved my life. That lady. A petite, young woman with curly and short hair took me in her soft hands and immediately claimed: “this is perfect!” She walked through the corridor, paid my price and put me in her black leather bag. My heart was beating too fast. This angel has taken me out of the store. After some short minutes, someone picked my metal body up. I realized that it was the same woman. She laid me on a round table. From there, I could see a cosy living room, which had a huge window from where I saw a wonderful garden with lots of flowers. From out of nowhere, I heard a voice. Sweet voice. My eyes saw a little girl, full of energy. Her hair was a mass of curls. Her eyes irradiated happiness. I could hear that she laughed in an infectiously way. Slowly, she came towards me and scanned me carefully. Without warning, she put me in her delicate hands and then in her curly hair. Honestly, I had never felt better before. That was when I met Maggie. 204 From that moment onwards, we shared unforgettable moments. At any special occasion, she wore me. I was always with her. Every night, she used to put me on a pink box and I glimpsed at her when she was sleeping. Time went by, years also but I was still in her life. Although she did not wear me anymore, I was happy to be there. I was capable of understanding that Maggie was a big girl and had other objects to put on. The little sweet girl was now a great woman. As time passed, I realized that she had not forgotten about me. One morning, she opened the old pink box and took me out of it. “She is going to throw me”, I thought. Then something happened. Maggie put my little body in other girl. I stayed there, in a not so strange hair. It seemed to be quite similar to my Maggie’s hair. Life went on with

Comparing The Ethium 'And' My Trip To The City Aquarium

...The passages “An amazing day at the Aquarium” and “My Trip to the City Aquarium” are similar and different in many aspects. In the passages, two different students take a visit to the same aquarium but experienced it in their own manner. The students experienced different stuff, with this in mind similarities and differences are apparent in both passages. The two passages are different because in “An amazing day at the Aquarium” The student was so grateful to be going to the Aquarium as seen on lines 1-3 where the student states “I couldn't believe what i was hearing:our class was going on a field trip to the city Aquarium!...I had always wanted to visit a giant aquarium.” although in “My trip to the City Aquarium” the student was very unhappy...

My Trip To Cedar Point Essay

...Everyone tries to understand their purpose in the world, a special place can help to uncover the mystery of what that is. My family has a tradition to go to Sandusky, Ohio each year to visit the amazing amusement park, Cedar Point. The ride there was like waiting for the first snowfall. We drove across the bumpy highways and looking to our left and right saw enormous fields full of bright yellow and green plants. Our conversations consisted of everyone in the car while we all laughed and smiled the whole ride. The excitement of going to Cedar Point was so transmitted that you could see it on everyone’s faces. These times can show a lot about you, even to yourself which can help you in your life forever. I always remember waking up with my friend Connor who would spend the night the day before the trip so that we were all together before we left. The amazing thing about our trip is that we get excited before we even step foot onto the paved jungle of rollercoasters. You truly can feel the excitement and learn what makes...

Happiness Definition Essay

...Happiness has a very controversial meaning for many different people. People do not always seem to agree on the definition of happiness and that is because people have not all had the same experiences in life where they can agree on a meaning. Through traveling to Belize, Costa-Rica, Cancun, and Puerto Vallarta I have been able to enjoy some amazing experiences as well as seeing how each location is different from one another. My definition of happiness would have to be traveling because I get to experience many different cultures, cities, environments, as well as doing different activities and seeing how each place differs from one another. Puerto Vallarta was the first vacation trip I took that made me realized how amazing being introduced...

Medical Field Trip Analysis

...As someone who would want to pursue a life in the medical field, it is expected that I would take this opportunity and go back and see some famous biologist such as Charles Darwin or Rosalind Franklin. Although it would be amazing to see the establishment of the theory of evolution or the discovery on why we have double helix DNA, there have been two locations that I have wanted to go. One of them is a little unrealistic, especially with the technology we have today, but none the less it would be a trip beyond comprehension. However, the other trip is entirely possible and is more centralized by my interest. If I could use this ticket for the unrealistic trip, then it would be the human body. Yes, I do understand that Ms.Frizzle already did this on the Magic School Bus, but honestly, I do not think anyone that watched that episode said “that doesn’t look awesome.” If you did not see this and thought it was also then maybe you saw that Rick and Morty episode where they traveled into a human body. Being able to know the physiology of the human body on that level would be exhilarating. It is true that in today's world all scientist have to do is place the camera in the body, and then they can easily study the body from the comfort of their lab. However being able to shrink to a microscopic size and explore the Respiratory system or...

Smoky Mountains Research Paper

...country, India. Well, last summer she decided to take both of my parents, all four brothers, one sister, and myself with her on vacation to the beautiful Smoky Mountains. We not only visited the Smoky Mountains, but also Cades Cove, Pigeon Forge, a look out peek, and some really stunning waterfalls. My most interesting memory is of my vacation to the glorious Smoky Mountains in Tennessee. The drive to Tennessee was long, but there were so many breathtaking sites on the way, especially at night when all the big cities were filled with bright beautiful lights. When we finally arrived at the condo we stayed in, and it was amazing; it had a balcony, three rooms, a kitchen, a living room, and two bathrooms. The resort that the condo was in had two very large magnificent swimming pools, a sauna, a gym, two hot tubs, and a golf course. The condo was amazing, but we didn’t stay there much, as we did activities all day. I could just not wait till the next morning to really start our vacation. The first day we woke up and went and ate a big tasty breakfast at a little restaurant that was...

Ecuador Roadtrip

...of a learning experience. You can get to know different cultures, people, customs, food, infrastructure, history, music, languages, dialects and so on. There is a specific kind of trip called “roadtrip”. Roadtripping started as a hippie thing, it’s basically about driving around to different cities, towns, countries without a plan. You can either end up in a nice hotel or at a road motel and both will make you feel or give you the same comfort; even there will be times when you will have to sleep in your own car. Ecuador is most known around the world as a touristic place; actually, most known by foreigners than by their own people (Ecuadorians). I’ve met a lot of foreigners, from different countries, from the US, Europe, Middle East, Latin Americans and so on, and most of them know Ecuador for their beaches and especially for Galapagos Island. We are supposed to teach other people about our country; unfortunately, it turns out that foreigners know way too much more than we do. There is a German photographer that published a book about Ecuador, with amazing pictures and he took the time to visit every part of our country it Is beautiful how everybody but US appreciate, respect and talk about our country. I had the chance to start a road trip a week ago with my family for 6 days, it was an amazing experience....

Number 1 Nigga

...A Trip of a Lifetime Is this really happening? Are we actually here? No, we can’t be…, but we are. If you were to tell me two years ago that I would go on this trip, that I would be there, and see the place in person, I would have laughed and think that you were crazy. I look back at it now, still wondering if I actually went there. It was that amazing, that I still question it, even though it happened almost a year ago. I will tell this story, the story of my trip to the bloody battle fields that held hundreds of soldiers, where you can still feel the sorrow of the deaths, where you might hear battle cries, and even see those famous blue and grey uniforms on ghostly soldiers. Gettysburg! It all started with my mother talking about some insane idea to go on a trip back east. She said that we would someday go on this trip, maybe within year or two. I thought it was never going to happen. Three months later, those months filled with talk about it, my mom told me that we would go in April. I could hardly believe what she was telling me. I didn’t believe it so much, that, on April first I thought she was going to say, “April Fools! We aren’t really going on the trip”. That never happened though, and before I knew it we were going on the long plane and train ride. Yes, I said planes and trains. This trip consisted of all transportations, Planes, Trains, and Automobiles. It was really crazy. We even time traveled! Well, not...

...They can’t tell you there may come a time where you find you’re more comfortable surrounded by people with developmental disabilities than you are with the general population. To be completely honest I expected it to be impossible to work there and get certain tasks done but it was magical, we were able to incorporate the residences amazing ideas with ours, in order to successfully complete the assignments that were assigned to us. It is important that as Christian leaders we were to incorporate everyone's ideas and we did so, Domenic ( a resident at St. Jude’s) suggested that we were to create a T.V. Set and so we did so and it turned out phonomial. My group was inclusive to all those there with us which made the trip that much more fun and information filled. I felt as including everyone in the tasks provided for a much more comfortable and less tense surrounding, also I felt as if it helped to show that everyone's ideas were important and that as a team we were able to create amazing things. The amazing people at St. Jude's made it feel like home, the people were amazing and great people to work...

Channel Islands National Park Research Paper

...One national park that has intrigued me is the Channel Islands National Park. I have heard and read amazing facts about these islands. The Channel Islands are eight islands off the California coast. Only five of them are a part of the Channel Islands National Park. What's amazing and special about these islands is that they are isolated; so these islands have evolved independently. There is a lot to do at these islands such as watch the sea mammals, hike, snorkel, and kayak. You can also admire the natural habitat full of rare trees and plants. I would love to visit these islands one day, especially because they are home to over 30,000 seals and sea lions, and with at least five different species of them. Unfortunately, the Channel Islands...

...India Before leaving to India I was a little bit pessimist about that trip. I was not sure if I would like the country, the culture, the food, and I have to admit that I would have loved staying in Florida and enjoying my Spring Break in South America. Overall that trip had been a success to me. I’ve been travelling since many years with my family. I’ve been really lucky to get the chance to discover new countries and cultures all around the world. India had been an amazing adventure for many reasons. Few years ago I went to Africa, in Mauritania and it amazed me to see how people could leave together even though the poor situation in the country. I felt the same in India and I would say even more. The first thing that I’ve noticed was obviously the fact that the living conditions are terrible for most of the people. I was extremely chocked about it, all those people sleeping outside, begging for food, begging for a simple tee-shirt and candies. It was extremely sad and weird to be confronted to all those kids living in the streets. I believe that the poverty in the streets and the living conditions have been a terrible eyes opener about how lucky I am to be born in Paris and to study in Florida. The architecture was something also very different from France or the United States. It was amazing to see all those old monuments and especially the Taj Mahal. The Taj Mahal is definitely the most impressive and amazing monument that I’ve seen in my life. I will never forget that moment...

Trail Of Tears Essay

...Way back in the summer of 2010 the Vande Polder family, from Kansas City, Missouri, decided to go on a road trip to the east coast. For a family such as the Vande Polders this meant many a bathroom breaks, the smell of Cheez-itz in the stale air of the mini van, and many laughs throughout the whole trip. Some of those laughs came from unexpected difficulty from a mountain hike, a cop pulling us over due to the baby of the family taking a bathroom break, and a now long lost picture of me in the ocean with an unexpected couple in the background. The Vande Polders always know how to have a good time and this trip is a perfect example of those side stitching times. The Vande Polder kids at the time of the trip were the ripe ages of ten, thirteen,...
