These devoted individuals are happy to trek across some unrelenting topography to ensure they get the very best image quality that they can. Landscape photography is a favorite with professional and amateur photographers alike. There awaits a wealth of natural landscapes filled with beauty and drama, always changing with the seasons to be photographed in both black and white, and color. Many landscape photographs show little or no human activity and are created in the search of a pure, untarnished illustration of nature lacking human influence, but instead featuring subjects such as strongly defined landforms and weather. ...As a child I suffered from selective mutism. I lived in a very small town and not too many people knew what to do with me. I remember doing a lot of therapy but if you ask my family what helped me, they would tell you it was art. Art was my way to express myself and say things I was not able to. Because with art everything is up to the maker, it lets kids experience a measure of success. This is one reason why art is so important for special needs children. I truly believe that art heals people. Due to me being a child dealing with struggles my parents encouraged me to have an interest in art. I guess you could say I had a form of self awareness somewhat like the quote by Ansel Adams. I wanted to speak but was unable to find my vioce. With art I was able to do this freely and without any worry of being judged or laughed at which I think was one of my issues. My seventh grade art teacher was an amazing teacher and mentor. I hated school, did not want to be there and I was struggling in my other classes but not my art class. I looked forward to being in that class. She taught me that whatever I was doing in my life, I could always use art to get through it. For example, math has always been a horrible subject for me. My teacher showed me how to use art while doing math work. It helped me pass my math class and I still use art to this day when I have a math prblem or I am helping my children. Now my children use art to help them with math. ...

...Half Dome is a granite dome at the eastern end of Yosemite Valley, it’s granite crest rises more than 4,737 ft. above the valley floor. The impression from the valley floor that this is a round dome that has lost its northwest half is an illusion. From Washburn Point, Half Dome can be seen as a thin ridge of rock, an arête, which is oriented northeast-southwest, with its southeast side almost as steep as its northwest side except for the very top. Eighty percent of the northwest "half" of the original dome may well still be there. On March 28, 2009, a large rock slide of one million five hundred thousand cubic feet occurred from Ahwiyah Point. The slide damaged a large area under the dome (US). No pe0ople were hurt, but hundreds of trees were...

...Environment and Preservation Many grounds all over the world have been destroyed many ways starting from cleaning up the forest where animals live and survive in the forest. The forest is beauties of nature where the oxygen flows through the big trees and makes an atmosphere breathe the fresh air of that oxygen. Trees are being taken from the root of the ground, so it can no longer grow and replace that area with a business company or just plain empty. People ask themselves why is it that the grounds are being torned down but yet not being used. These and many related questions remain in silence of a major concern in the present day world. Christians try to find the ethics which relies on faith, tolerance, and care. The grounds in the forest where its peaceful and pleasant doesn’t ever seem that some company will one day come and tear the grounds and let it show empty. It says in Psalm 1:3; He is like a tree planted by streams of water that yields its fruit in its season, and its leaf does not wither. In all he does, he prospers. (KJ VERSION). “Stop the Catastrophe.” Prentice Hall Reference Guide states Which in the opinion of Christians, yes, stop the catastrophe in tearing down so many trees and not let the oxygen continue to flow as it should. There are properties that are being invaded by City Departments where they want to expand the streets of all the subdivision. Make the streets into the business road and make more money to collect more taxes in the poor...

...Adam From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia This article is about the figure from Abrahamic religions. For the given name, see Adam (given name). For other uses, see Adam (disambiguation). See also: Adam and Eve Adam Hands of God and Adam.jpg Detail from Michelangelo's The Creation of Adam, Sistine Chapel ceiling Spouse(s) Eve Lilith (folklore) Children Cain Abel Seth Creation of Adam, Michelangelo Adam (Hebrew: אָדָם) is a figure from the Book of Genesis, also mentioned in the New Testament, the Quran, the Book of Mormon, and the Book of Iqan. According to Womack's creation myth[1] of Abrahamic religions, and also according to the Holy Bible, he is the first human. In the Genesis creation narratives, he was created by Yahweh-Elohim ("Yahweh-God", the god of Israel), though the term "adam" can refer to both the first individual person, as well as to the general creation of humankind. Christian churches differ on how they view Adam's subsequent behavior of disobeying God (often called the Fall of man), and to the consequences that those actions had on the rest of humanity. Christian and Jewish teachings sometimes hold Adam and Eve (the first woman) to a different level of responsibility for the Fall, though Islamic teaching holds both equally responsible. In addition, Islam holds that Adam was eventually forgiven, while Christianity holds that redemption occurred only later through the sacrifice of Jesus Christ. Bahá'í Faith, Islam and some Christian denominations...

...EVAN 101-002 29 October 2013 Book Review Reflection Paper Marvelously Made written by Monica Rose Brennan was such a simplest wonderful book about the basic principles in a little more depth of the bible and God’s word and truths. The overall main focus was of what God viewed women to be in society and how he specifically made us women to all be marvelously made in his image. I highly enjoyed reading Dr. Breenan’s book and learning more in depth of God’s word and truths. The first story talked about in the book was of when Brennan was a child. She talked about how us girls like to make little pretend worlds. Where we wont have any pain, rejections, suffering, hate, that others, and other things along those lines will always love us. She said how little girls do that but sometimes we even catch ourselves today living in a world we created to stay happy and away from the negative in life. Body image was also talked about in the book. Brennan struggled with anorexia when she was just in the seventh grade. Without knowing the true truths of how God created each of us to be ,we can all get caught up with our body image. If we do not truly believe that we are each created from God then we can get so idolized of how we look making ourselves unhappy. The book talked about how coming to God and finding your true identity in Christ will fill that need of wanting how your body should be and accepting how God made you and that you are beautiful in his eyes. That is where the...

...becomes new again. Another example from the poem that shows gold as a symbol is “Nothing gold can stay.” The speaker means that the newness and youth of nature does not stay forever. This is quite disappointing and bittersweet because the speaker is implying that everything of value in life somehow fades away eventually. After spring and summer are over, fall and winter return once more. Winter, which is the opposite of spring and summer, represents death and gloominess. Finally, Eden is a symbol that Frost uses to develop and establish the passage further. In the sixth and seventh line of the poem, the speaker says “So Eden sank to grief/ so dawn goes down to day”. Eden symbolizes the Garden of Eden where everything is perfect and pleasant for Adam and Eve until they eat an apple off of the only tree they weren’t supposed to. This also shows that nothing pleasant and/or perfect in life will stay forever, just like the “gold” in life. Robert Frost uses symbols in this poem, “Nothing Gold Can Stay” to represent how many precious things in life don’t stay in one’s life...

...warm Intensity: The sculpture may be warm-looking but it does not affect how people feel about it. 7. Texture: The apples are not good to look at, but we can see that it makes a person curious to touch them if they’re real or not. ICONOGRAPHIC ELEMENT Apple in religion is a forbidden fruit. This shows what Adam and Eve did when they listened to the snake in the garden of eden. DISTINCTIVE ELEMENTS Basically, the picture shows two frames and each frame contain apples that have bites. What makes them distinct is one frame is crowded with apples that there is no room left and the other frame is only filled with a few apples which still has a lot of room. Analysis of Principles The artwork is repetitious and chaotic. USE OF LIGHT The artwork has a warm tone due to the redness of the apple. Likewise shadowy, because the artwork looks dark and mysterious. SPACE AND LANDSCAPE For the right frame, the canvas was filled with apples leaving no negative space. On the other frame, it only shows a few apples which means there’s a lot of room and negative space. Reaction to artwork The theme of the sculpture was the mistake of Adam and Eve when they chose to listen to the snake and ate the apple. The...

...Adam and Eve have been instructed certain activities in gardening. Eve has the special role of Master Gardener, meanwhile Adam holds the role of in engaging everyday conversation with god related to the Garden. Sara Torres analyzes, compares, and contrasts the differences that exist between Adam and Eve, such as feelings, spiritual attitudes, different roles in the poem, and and more importantly relationships. Torres states “While Eve tends the Garden, Adam engages in regular conversation with God. Adam the creator speak as friends and their conversations are most surely based on his daily activities. As a man Adam is the glory of God, and as such, God must find great pleasure in interacting with his creation, listening speaking to him. God...
