Various big corporations became bankrupt because of this. Many of the automaker giant posted loss during the last 2 or three years, like – Toyota and the biggest corporation of the world General Electric (GE) became bankrupt. More or less all the big corporations are affected by it. BMW, one of the automaker giant, could retain its’ profitability over last three years when the global recession take place. It also affected by the recession but cannot lose the profitability. This interesting thing inspires me to conduct research on the financial performance of BMW AG. In the beginning of my paper I give an overview on the BMW. Later I analyze the net profit, sales revenue, costs and assets base of the corporation for the last 10 years. Then I go for ratio analysis to judge the financial health of the organization. In ratio analysis I use Return of Assets (ROA), Return on Equity (ROE), Basic Earning Power (BEP), Liquidity ratio, Profitability Ratio, Divided Payout (DP) Ratio and Du Pont Chart to conduct my analysis. ...9-295-100 Rev. August 7, 1997 Cross-Border Valuation Cross-border investment has assumed a prominent place among the key decisions facing investors and corporate managers. In today’s increasingly global marketplace, many investment projects, corporate acquisitions and mergers have important international components. The importance of cross-border valuation methods have been underscored by trends toward the relaxation of capital controls, European economic integration, and, since the early 1990s, the opening and growth of Eastern European, Russian, Asian and Latin American markets. Cross-border acquisitions have been a particularly prevalent form of investment since 1980. American corporations, for example, increased their acquisitions of foreign targets by 160% between 1980 and 1990. Acquisitions of American targets by foreign companies rose about 50% during the same period. Some transactions, such as Matsushita Electric's $6.9 billion acquisition of MCA, Inc. in 1991, have been quite large. The majority, however, have been well under $100 million in size, suggesting that these transactions are not just the domain of giant multinationals. Evaluating crossborder opportunities is a critical consideration of executives and investors from around the world. The objective of this note is to review basic methods of valuing cross-border investments and the main issues affecting such valuations. It is intended to be a source of guidance, not a comprehensive review of...

...What Does the Library Have to Offer? By: Adan Galarza Instructor: Asif Choudhery Date Submitted: 6/4/2016 The Internet is an interesting place. From search engines like Google and Bing and all the information and research you can do on the internet make life a lot easier. The problem however, is that nowadays a lot of things that are put up on the internet are not credible and sometimes can just be opinions. Although, this is great since it allows you to communicate and gain different perspectives this is also bad since it can lead people to believe that what they are reading is factual which in all reality it is not. Ashford University has outdone themselves by making their Library easy and convenient to use. All the information from databases, journal articles, Ebooks, Encyclopedias etc. are all credible sources. Ashford allows you to use the tools needed to make a well written paper which is what makes their library great and why it has been part of my success as a student here at Ashford. Ashford has the combination of scholarly resources and popular resources. The difference between the two is the fact that scholarly resources written by and for experts. They are peer-reviewed or referred and include bibliographies and/or footnotes. Popular resources are more like magazines and newspapers. They are reviewed by editors and are designed for a broader audience. They contain appealing photos and advertisements along with flashy cover pages to catch the reader’s attention...
