The late Grand Ole Opry star Jean Shepard's husband, Benny Birchfield, was injured during an attack at his home in in Hendersonville, Tennessee, that left two people dead on December 17th.

According to The Tennessean, police found the 79 year old suffered stab wounds during the attack, Birchfield's 18-year-old granddaughter Icie Hawkins, was also a victim, she was later pronounced dead at the hospital.

Hendersonville Police Department Sgt. Jim Vaughn identified 21-year-old Travis Sanders as the third person in the home, saying he was found dead from a a .38 caliber gunshot wound.

Vaughn discussed the attack at Birchfield's home saying:
Shepard died at the age of 82 in September as the first woman to celebrate 60 years as an Opry member.

Financial fraud is considered to be the most common of the six cyber attacks.
