Three years ago, my life changed drastically. When my parents split up, I felt like I lost them both without "really" losing them. I was at my lowest point. I hated talking to people about my problems. All my feelings were bottled up, and I got emotional when speaking about the topic with anyone. The song "Broken Clocks" by SZA relates to a little part of my life.
In Verse 2, SZA says, "Got a shift at 10am, Gotta dip by 10pm, Gotta get that cash, won't get past the lunch break, I ain't had a smoke break, in about two days don’t break." She describes some of her life which is just like mine. Heartbreaks are what most of her songs are about. Even though the first man to ever break my heart was my dad and not a lover, I can really vibe to her
