American’s were originally told that they would be able to keep their current healthcare plan without interrupts; however beginning December 2013 thousands of Americans received cancellation letters from their insurance companies due to the rules and regulations of the Affordable Care Act. When searching for similar policies (which are rare to find) the monthly premiums where increased dramatically, which most people cannot afford.
