How should a dry cleaner go about identifying hazardous conditions that should be rectified?
The owner should request a voluntary consultation from OSHA.
The owner and/or manager need observe employees while they are operation machinery And working with hazardous chemicals to ensure the employee are not putting themselves or Others in harms way.
Four hazardous conditions in a dry cleaner:
High temperatures
Poor ventilation
Chemicals and their vapors
Small, cluttered work spaces
Would it be advisable for such a firm to set up a procedure for screening out accident prone individuals?
Studies have shown that accident prone people have certain personality traits, therefore, it is advisable to have some sort of screening or test. One such personality test can be found here: http://www.hr-guide.com/ .

How would you suggest that owners get all employees to behave more safely at work?
Employers need to reduce unsafe working conditions
Screen potential employees
Use safety posters
Provide safety training for all employees, and carry out health and safety inspections on a regular basis
Create a safety policy
Disciplinary actions, such as informing the employee of the unsafe behavior and documenting it in the employee’s file. Make sure the employee knows that any other unsafe behavior can result in termination.
How would you advise them to get those who should be wearing goggles to do so?
The employer could provide incentives for wearing the goggles, but the employee needs to know that by not wearing the, it will result in termination of
