Presenting Issues
Gabby Martinez is a 19-year-old Hispanic female at a crossroads as to what to do with her life. Although she graduated with good grades, she did not attend college and opted to work. At that time, Gabby was unsure of what she wanted to do. Gabby has had a series of jobs, but due to lack of interest and enthusiasm, she is missing work, and as a result has been terminated (Laureate Education, 2013).
Gabby is visiting her therapist, to discuss her indecisiveness regarding her decision-making issues regarding her career choices (Laureate, 2013). Her parents suggested to Gabby that she should consider getting married. Gabby feels that she is too young for marriage, at this stage of her life.
