As the debate summary we decided to go with the pro side of the argument, which includes; Eddie Routh's history of mental disorders, how he fled the scene, and the sentence given to him for his murder charge. Unlike many other modern day war movies depicting recent events, American Sniper does not seem to be written as a modern war propaganda movie to support the war efforts, or made just win various awards from screenwriters guilds and academies, but made as a tribute to the most deadly sniper in history, Kyle. This movie does a wonderful job depicting the struggles both on and off the battlefield that a lot of soldiers have to deal with when coming home from the warzone.
