...April 2015 Cosmetology: The Beauty Within You Cosmetology is the professional skill and practice of beautifying the hair, face, skin and body. Cosmetologists bring out the beauty within each person by working on the human body (Allure). The process is not easy, it involves many practice, talent, and patients. Each category has its own steps and techniques. Cosmetology is not only to beautify but also to heal the human body. They are like doctors without the doctor’s degree. It is very important to keep the body feeling beautiful, relaxed and healthy, but hard to do on your own (Allure). This is why cosmetology is important. They bring the beauty that is within you out for the world to see. A cosmetologist is a professional who provides his services in a variety of fields; this could be hair makeovers, makeup, manicuring, and many other similar profiles. A cosmetologist does not always work on a single profile they could be doing more than one field. But their primary motive is to make people look beautiful and feel fresh. Some of the licensed cosmetologists may prefer to start their own beauty business. To become a cosmetologist there are specialized courses which are needed. Nail Technician Research Paper

...Research Paper Rough Draft: How to become a Neat Nail Technician Looking around the room, I see an array of beautiful shades to choose from. Pastels with deep dark colors of nail polishes are sitting on organized shelves to be chosen. Sometimes a salon will have a strong stench of chemicals, mixed with the sound of nail buffing drills, and chatter too. However, getting a manicure and pedicure is still a relaxing retreat that many women, even men, look forward to. When I was a just a little girl, I became exposed to the art of nail design and a vast selection of polishes throughout the years of my mother’s influence. Painting nails, playing with false nails, and the experience in taking trips to the nail salon with my mother have become hobbies of mine ever since then. Thereafter, I realize that in order to become a professional nail technician, it will take hours of practice and training to obtain your license, and testing your skills in your new workplace. This topic is something interesting that I liked learning about, and I thought it would be great to be able to save money by doing own nails. “As a nail technician or manicurist, you will trim and polish clients' nails, repair broken nails, and apply nail extensions. Additionally, you will assess the...

Saylor URL: http://www.saylor.org/books Saylor.org 1 Preface Competing books are focused on the academic part of HRM, which is necessary in a university or college setting. However, the goal with this book is not only to provide the necessary academic background information but also to present the material with a practitioner’s focus on both large and small businesses. While the writing style is clear and focused, we don’t feel jargon and ten-dollar words are necessary to making a good textbook. Clear and concise language makes the book interesting and understandable (not to mention more fun to read) to the future HRM professional and manager alike. It is highly likely that anyone in business will have to take on an HRM role at some point in their careers. For example, should you decide to start your own business, many of the topics discussed will apply to your business. This is the goal of this book; it is useful enough for the HRM professional, but the information presented is also applicable to managers, supervisors, and entrepreneurs. Besides these differences, other key differences include the following:   This book utilizes a technology focus and shows how HRM activities can be leveraged using technology. We have also included a chapter on communication and information...
