Circumstances of the Episode
The morning of Friday December 14, 2012 claimed the “deadliest mass shooting” ( wiki) in a high school or lower level institution and the second worst mass shooting that the United States had encountered throughout history following Virginia Tech (NBC/ WASHINGTON). The most heartbreaking side to the occurrence was the fact that it took place in Connecticut’s Sandy Hook Elementary School; a place full of innocent angels that would have to face horrific scenes and undergo an unforgettable experience at such a young age.

It was about five minutes after when police entered the school and witnessed a gruesome scene. Police then proceeded to search and evacuate survivors indicating they cover their eyes as they escorted them out and away from school grounds. Authorities found him wearing a “green pocket vest” over a black polo with a black T-shirt under, black shoes, “black fingerless gloves, black socks,” and black belt with a black hat and glasses nearby. The Glock pistol was found jammed and near his body with the assault rifle several feet from him along with the Sig Sauer that was found on him and that was not fired. Authorities found a miracle survivor, a six-year-old girl, hiding in one of the corners in her classroom’s bathroom. She managed to keep still and play dead leading to her survival but also expressed words that inflict vast amounts of pain, “Mommy, I’m okay, but all of my friends are dead.”, and described Lanza as “a very angry man.” Another young girl expressed that she heard a boy yelling “Help me! I don’t want to be here!” and heard Lanza reply with “Well you’re here.” Investigators determined that Lanza reloaded often and occasionally only fired half of the rounds in a magazine. Since a very young age Adam Lanza displayed recurring behaviors and motor difficulty along with complex challenges in his childhood development especially with language, consultation and sensory assimilation (Ziv). Throughout the first grade Lanza was a delightful child full of joy and smiles that carried on throughout his elementary years up until the fifth grade where noticeable change stated to become evident. Leading up to fifth grade Adam had a change within him where he begun to have fear of his surroundings and avoided any eye contact with whomever it
