...Dear Dongmei, Thanks for your letter, and I’m happy to show you some my opinions. As far as I’m concerned, Rachel’s behavior is understandable. You know, more and more students participate in the student exchange programme, and their character, purpose and so on are different. We can’t think they’re same. In fact, everyone is different. So I think Rachel doesn’t choose integrate into Chinese culture more because of her personal reasons. Perhaps Rachel is too much shy or unconfident to communicate, or she regards Chinese as a subject, or she doesn’t have power to learn. One possibility is that she is too shy or unconfident to communicate. What’s known is that character has a great influence on people. For example, a shy person doesn’t like talk more with people who is strange. And an unconfident person usually doesn’t tell someone his idea. Besides you’re good friends. So I think maybe as a result of her character, Rachel choose not to integrate into Chinese culture. Another possibility is that she regards Chinese as a subject. In my view, if someone does a work which he has no choice, his efficiency and enthusiasm are lower than he does a work which is his favorite. If she regards Chinese as a subject, her aim possible is high grade but communicate better. So she has little enthusiasm after class and chooses not to take some activities related to local culture. Certainly, it may be because she has no power to learn. It’s known that power makes us to be better. When we do something...

...FINDER I love the idea of using the Greek word for Finder as the main character’s name… maybe that could even work into the title? The headlines are talking. They say that there are only an estimated 6000 Followers left worldwide and about 10 percent of them may be found in North America. China claims to have wiped them out altogether, while India believes that they can be rehabilitated. Those headlines were from two days ago blaring through my Blue Tooth and YAHWEH alone knows how many of us are left. But after 80 - 100 years of persecution, since the Government’s war on the Followers, we’ve learned how to hide in plain sight. It takes a lot more money living in The Cities than in the communes where I was raised. But after they found our camp, about forty people strong, maybe 34 of us all told were BORNAGAINSAVED. The others were people we’d find on the road hungry, alone, broken; designated appointments from YAHWEH – well after they found our camp . . . well, I’ve been living in cities since then. They called us something else then, but the name has been lost. Now they just call us walking dead or religious trash. Either way it’s all the same. If they catch us, then it’s the Big Show: no ifs, ands, or but’s. Even on the news feeds, we’re “they,” or “suspects,” or “fanatics” and never our names. We’re the nameless ones. That’s how we can tell true Followers from the government plants they keep sending us. You can tell by the scars we carry. Many of us grow our hairs...

...Dear President Obama, How important do you think civic and political participation is? I think it’s very important Mr. President, because Civic and political participation prevents decisions from being made by a few people. In my opinion participation by the masses insures greater freedom. Mr. President, I believe you are familiar with Booker T. Washington. The brave intelligent man who started a college for African Americans after the civil war. He taught African Americans how to live successfully as free people. He also promoted education for African Americans all over the country, and gave instructions in subjects like taking initiative, buying or building houses, building a competitive business, budgeting, keeping a house, all kinds of things nobody learned while in bondage. Booker T. Washington was influenced by disfranchisement and the Jim Crow discriminatory laws enacted in the post-Reconstruction Southern states in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. So tell me, why don’t we have a national holiday celebrating and honoring Booker T? Washington sir? He has done so much for African Americans like me. Thanks to him your daughters and I can go to college and get a higher education. He definitely deserves a holiday celebrating just him and his accomplishments. So, start working on making that happen Mr. President. Sincerely, Britt Ray Works Cited “Bio.” Booker T. Washington Biography, 2015. ...Minh Dinh SPCH 10 Dear Abby Assignment Dear Abby, My best friend, “Tuan,” recently admitted to me that he wasn’t sure about his gender. He told me with a sincere affection that he was bi-curious, and he wasn’t sure he was completely heterosexual. After hearing his confession, I quietly couldn’t believe his situation. In a moment, I decided that we still be friend forever. I told him that no matter how he was, I still stood right by side with him and that nothing’s going to change the friendship between me and him. However, after few days, I had an embarrassed feeling whenever I hung out with him. No one know his secret, except me, because I am his best friend who he believes the most. The reason why he decided to tell me his secret is that he hoped me could understand and accept the real person of him. However, at this time, I still don’t believe and can’t accept the real one in him. Is it wrong that I’m still friendly with him? Should I be angry at Tuan? What should I do now in order to escape my awkward feeling and don’t ruin my friendship? Signed, Minh D. Dear Minh D. Thank you for sharing your thoughts. The first thing I’m going to tell you that I am very jealous of you because of your wonderful friendship. I’m pretty sure that you are a great person who can listen actively and give advice for anyone that need you. The reason I come to that conclusion is because you’ve earned a strong faith from your best friend that he chose only you to confess his feeling...

...A Raisin in the Sun Entry 1: Dear Diary, I am just now leaving The United States of America and on the plane right now as I’m writing this. Mama, Walter, Ruth, and Travis all dropped me off at the airport to say goodbye. It was really hard because I know I will not see them for a while, but they know what’s best for me. I know Mama wanted me to be with George, but he truly just wasn’t for me. He wanted me to be someone who I was not. He tried to push me away from who I am. I am Beneatha and proud of myself and family and since he couldn’t respect that I had to let him go. I hope Mama will understand why I did such a thing. She will never know how much I love her. As I am looking out of this window at the little specks of houses diapering I am thinking about what my future holds. I wonder if I have made the right decision, but I can only hope so. Joseph has changed my view of life. He has changed me for the better. I have always wanted to help others after I had watched the little boy in my neighborhood cut his head open. I know I am not the greatest follower of god, but I think this might be his plan for me. To look after the sick and diseased. I am delighted I have met Asagai. It’s almost like he is my other half because when I am with him I feel so alive and free. He makes me feel wanted and loved. He may not be the rich like George, but I love him just as much, if not more. Looking out into the clouds I see a happy future. Saving lives, curing patients, and caring for...

...Dear Diary, Wherefore is this happening? How did this happen? And why is this happening to me? Do I really deserve this? Is this some punishment for something I’ve done? Is it because my name is Hero? Dear Lord tell me why. I’ve been sitting here for hours just thinking about yesterday. It seems like every time I do think about it my heart shatters even more as tears run down my face like two never ending rivers. While I sit, I ask God over and over what did I do to deserve this. But of course there is no answer or reply. There are a couple of things that really hurt me yesterday and I mean REALLY!!! I was so hurt when Claudio said I as in me cheated on him when I know I did no such thing. Doesn’t he know how much I love him? Then another thing is my father; how could he say those things? How could he want to kill or disown me like that? He says he’s ashamed of me but after hearing what he said it is I who is ashamed of him. He should believe me because I’ve never done anything to sway his trust in me. I’ve been a loyal and faithful daughter. But the good things about this situation are that the Friar, Beatrice, and Benedick believe me. For this I am most thankful because it shows me who I can really trust. Now, there’s a plan for me to play dead so that Claudio can feel guilty for ‘killing’ me. The thing is even if I am madly and undeniably in love with him will I be able to forgive him easily. I feel the same towards my father will I forgive him easily...

...Dennis Nivar ENG102-L11 Extra Credit February 3, 2014 Dear Maggie, I am writing this letter to thank you and Momma for allowing Hakim and I to visit the both of you back home. Also thank Momma for the delicious food, and for making Hakim and I feel so welcomed. It was great to go back home after so many years and to see the both of you guys are doing great. Maggie, I also wanted to tell you that I have done a lot of thinking after the visit. I deeply apologize for the way I have acted towards you and Momma, and I was wrong. I apologize not just for my recent visit, but for everything that has happened in the past. I know I have never been the best daughter or sister but there is no excuse for my actions. It bothers me that you’re my only sister and we have never been close. I feel horrible for the lack of communication between us, and how I only wrote to Momma twice in four years. Ever since I left home to get an education and start a new life, I wanted to forget where I came from as much as I could. I couldn’t stand living the way we did and I wanted to break out of that cycle, which was the reason of the name change. I was ashamed of who I was and where I came from, which is wrong. I know I cannot get all of the time back that we did not spend together but I wish I can make that all up. I hope you and Momma can forgive me and maybe for my next visit we can start over again. Sincerely Dee...

...Rebecca McDonald 9 October 2014 Dr. Shafer English 101 Dear Andy: My friends and I are thinking of going on a LSD trip since our grandparents always speak so nostalgically of it when they were lucid. Could you give me some research on the history and effects of this enigmatic drug off the 60's? Should we do it? By the way we are in our mid- twenties. Tripping into Yesterday... Dear Tripping into Yesterday: In today’s society illegal drugs are a big, controversial topic that is talked about frequently. Whether they are trying to legalize the drug or people are getting busted for the possession of it. You have a great question, and it is good to be curious about things in life. Let me tell you a little more about LSD, more than what your grandparents know. LSD (Lysergic Acid Diethylamide) is a compound derived from lysergic acid and is used as a powerful hallucinogenic drug. The acid comes from a type of fungus that grows on grains like rye and wheat. It came about when a chemist by the name of Albert Hofmann first synthesized LSD in 1938 while looking for a blood stimulant. Although its hallucinogenic effects where not known until 1943 when he accidently ingested it. The drug was first tested on animals to ensure safety to be tested on humans. After the discovery of its extraordinary psychic effects, the substance had its first trials on animals. They were admitted into the series of experimental preparations. Most of the fundamental studies on animals were carried out...

...Dear Nurses, Currently, health care systems are undergoing a complete transformation to help better accommodate patients by providing them with affordable high quality care. These transformations are a direct result of The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act of 2010 (PPACA), which includes several provisions to intertwine cost effective care with quality. Health cares current arrangement is fragmented, lacking individual responsibility for the coordination and quality of patient care. By designing inducements for integrated care delivery models and disbursing funds for coordination and quality care, the law is attempting to restore health cares resource allocation while rewarding quality of care over volume of care. Consequently, nurses must become adjusted to the reorganized health care system because they are intricate part patient care and outcomes, as well as being fundamental to the attainment of emerging patient-care delivery models (ANA, 2010). The purpose of the this letter is to explain how the practice of nursing is expected to shift and to also discuss the concepts of continuum of care, accountable care organizations (ACO’s) medical homes, nurse-managed health care clinics (NMHCs). PPACA recognizes the potential leader role for the advance practice registered nurse (APRN) in new integrated care systems, and as an important contributor of primary care services. An ACO is collaboration among various health care professions who assume joint accountability...

...Dear Friend, Those are some very good questions that you asked. I will help you to understand these issues. When looking for information the way you assess your information is very important. If you find some information and it is not reliable you end up putting information in your paper that is false and could lead to an incomplete on your grade. By knowing how to find out if the information is reliable may be hard for some so I have provided ways that I use to find out if information is credible and reliable. Some of the ways that I use to find out if the information is true or if it is false is by looking into the references that they provide on the site. By doing this I am able to go looking at the information that they used can go farther back and what information is new information. When I look for reliable sources I will see about the abstract and find out if it is on the line of what I am looking for and if the abstract is nowhere near what I am looking for I will bypass the link and move on to the next. I also look to see if it is .gov, .net, .org, .edu, etc. This gives me more information as though it is a trusted and reliable source. When you are having troubles about whether a source is reliable look in to the references that are provided and see where they got there information and that will help you out as well. The references are usually at the end of the article but also can be in the beginning of the article. The term digital divide is the difference between...

...Dear President, I am writing you all the way from Florida. I wanted to share with you that not enough people knows that civic and political participation is important, and it is, the govern needs to be heard. Most of the time people share the same ideas or feelings, though there are only few that will stand and try to make a difference. Then there is thousands that will stand behind you. If no one participated, then the government will just start to make decision by themselves and slowly but surely American sinks back into that hole of tyranny. One person who has stood up and participated in civic and political matters is Ida B. Wells. She stood up and participated and gave her all fighting for what she believes. Ida, who was African American, was a journalist, newspaper editor, suffragist, sociologist, georgist and an early leader in the Civil Right Movement. She has me convinced, not to mention several others, that change is more than possible. No matter the size of the problem, it could be changed. To stand up to things as big as to what Ida was standing to, you need motivation. Her motivation was an incidents of discrimination against her. Her parents of Yellow Fever and left behind her and 5 of her siblings. She and her sibling were originally going to be split apart in foster care, so she got a job as a teacher that paid 80 dollars a month and Ida only received 30 a month. This wrong doing made her interested in politics of race and the educations of African Americans...

The first week is was down under with Sam and we went out on a hike for two days in the tropical rain forest. We slept under the open sky and I was a great experience and also a little bit cold. My and Sam saw a lot of beautiful animal and we also saw a koala and a lot of birds. After a long night's sleep, all the singing birds and animals awakened me it was terrific. Sam and I came home to the smell of barbecue and it smelled lovely. It was Sam´s wife Robin and her father who had come to the great idea to surprise us with barbeque. The next two-week was a bit more relaxing the only think we did there was to play poker and drink beer and of course we also swam in the pool. After the to weeks we all wet out on a boat trip where we stop at a place call Great Barrier Reef where we all snorkeled. ...Dear meyzeek, By: Brian Scott My issues to all the kids in the world, kids your age don’t like to read or write. I say don't the authors make reading and writing interesting. Because I think kids would see the fun in reading and writing plus at the time kids would be gaining knowledge and having fun at the same time. First, do you know these kids out here on the street because they dropped out of school as soon as they could because they can’t read or write on the skill level they were supposed to be on. And kids were probably got bullied and teased. The reason they probably didn’t find the fun or interest in reading and writing. People these days that drop out of school always go out on the street and selling dope trying to get paper. And they would get shot, like a policeman did to Michael Newby and got shot coldblooded. Secondly, if kids these days would read and write more they could achieve a goal once in their life. They would be proud and would feel good about themselves knowing they could achieve something in life. And another thing if your parents tell you to read just do it because you’re gaining more knowledge and it’s fulfilling your mind not theirs. And they tell you to read because they love you and want you to live a better life. I know that reading and writing is not fun but the authors could make books that maybe you like sports or music. Or maybe in school whoever makes that writing prompts make them on something you would like to write about...
