SUMMARY (Management Recommendations):

After going over the results of the self assessments, I have been able to determine each person’s strengths and weaknesses. Each of their characteristics will have a different affect on the organization, and after reviewing the test results I can effectively manage them each in their own ways. With Eric, he tends to be a good judge of character, and does not let emotion affect rationality. This is a very good characteristic to have in the professional world. Despite being upset or bothered by things, he can overlook them and not let emotional responses affect his professionalism. After realizing he is not too satisfied with certain aspects of his job, it is an even larger benefit to keep emotions and feelings out of his professional career. However, it is important that he realizes his work is important and he serves a purpose in the organization. His positive outlook on life makes him an exceptional employee, and because of this, he makes the best out of most situations. He does a great job of putting things in perspective and understanding others, which can benefit the organization with not only customers, but fellow employees as well. Judy is secure in her job and enjoys working with her coworkers. She has a positive outlook on things as well, and this can benefit the organization as well. Due to her being passionate about causes and feeling others’ emotions, she can be a valuable asset to any organization that deals with outside customers. Denise is great at taking initiative and making decisions when they are needed. She is cheerful and delighted to be at work, and tries to be positive even in not so positive situations. She has multiple characteristics that can be assets to an organization as well. Both Judy and Denise tend to be emotional, and this can be something that needs to be under control in a professional setting. As long as these emotions are kept under control, it should not have much impact on their professionalism. Eric is not as driven as the other two, and this can be something that he needs to work on in order to move up in the organization. His lack of concentration on work after a long period of time can negatively impact his work as well, but this can be worked on as well. It is important to consider his dissatisfaction with his supervisors and make the necessary changes to inspire employees. Denise and Judy have similar opinions about their supervisors and it is important to consider these opinions and make the necessary changes to improve employee satisfaction. Denise lacks understanding of emotional changes, both with herself and others. This is something that can negatively impact the overall performance of the organization, but it is also something that can be worked on. Each of these employees’ positive characteristics exceeds their negative ones, and they each can bring a large amount of superior performance within the organization. Some other assessments that might be beneficial in determining employee strengths and weaknesses could include one about being happy in their personal lives. While personal and professional lives should be kept separate, if a person is not happy with other things in their life, it might make it easier to determine any problems that might arise professionally. Another assessment would be how they might handle certain situations, both personally and professionally. Every person has strengths and weaknesses, and no one is the perfect employee. It is important for supervisors to understand this, and help make necessary adjustments to each of their personalities to promote a healthy and happy workplace.

His job satisfaction is neither high nor low. We can change his outlook and work ethic by motivation and our actions.
