In my opinion this essay is very effective, starting with the introduction paragraph. The order of this paragraph helps to catch the readers attention by using general information and then slowly introduces you to what the essay will be about and their opinion on it. This paragraph lets the reader know what they will be reading about and whether they want to continue reading or not. Next, the body paragraphs start but restating the thesis to remind the reader of your opinion on the topic. Then each body paragraph gives one reason and an explanation of the reason they feel this way about what they are writing about. The paragraphs are ordered in a specific way as well, starting at the second best reason, then the first and the third, this allows the reader to stay interested. Also the information in the body paragraphs all relate even though the reasons are all different, they are still able to flow nicely.

Lastly, the conclusion paragraph restates the thesis once again, restates the reason in one sentence, the information starts off very specific while restating their opinion, then slowly becomes more general information. The conclusion paragraph is basically the introduction paragraph but reversed, therefore the same information that got you interested in the first place is the same information that the essay ends off with. I believe this essay is very effective because it meets all the correct essay standards, the order of the information is correct and the information through out stays constant.

...Critically evaluate how the principles and approaches of your school meet the holistic needs of every child In writing this essay I am going to analyse, discuss and critically evaluate how school A has enhanced current practice and adopted different initiatives in my attempt to identify the holistic needs of every child. Correspondingly I will analyse aspects of the mission statement that highlight the overall effectiveness of the school’s ethos and whether or not the school is fulfilling what they have set out to achieve at school, class and individual level. I will identify evidence that creativity is at the heart of the school’s standards which appear to be continually improving the holistic needs of the children, in turn impacting performance. I will look closely at three national initiatives and assess their effectiveness: The Creative Partnership Scheme, Investors in pupils and SEAL: social, emotional, aspects of learning. I will then look at how the school incorporates aspects of faith within the context of children’s daily learning. The school incorporates other initiatives; however, I believe the aforementioned three to be the most relevant to the school’s aims and pivotal to their continued improvement. I will incorporate other sources of information which will include educational literature, publications, government documents, reports, theories and concepts. I have gathered evidence through independent observation and discussion with the class teacher in order...

Overview of Management and Organizationa Behavior

...Reflecting on my experience in the MGT 501 class over the last 3 months, l would say it was an eye opener in the sense that the course opened me up to a whole world of information that was entirely new to me. After completing group and individual work for 12 weeks, I would say that l have learned quite a lot from my group in the discussion classes and this has had a positive effect on the way me and the way l interact in the workplace. This essay will focus on what l took away from the course and on how the experiences in this class will shape my future interaction especially in the workplace. For me, the purpose of the MGT 501 course is to present a systemic knowledge about people and workings within organizations that can be used to enhance individual and organizational effectiveness in the work place. MGT 501 introduced organizational behavior from several perspectives in the sense of explaining the meaning and the reason why organizational behavior is useful. It showed me how to develop skills in organizational behavior like leadership skills, personality and learning skills. It also presented a frame work of understanding the field. A very important aspect of this course was to be able to make sense of any organization in which l am placed or l find myself in the future. I believe without a doubt that after taking this course, l can adequately answer questions as to what is going on within an my organization at least from a human stand point. Apart from helping me understand...

Increasing Effectiveness

...The aim of this essay is to reveal the problems of company L’Oréal, try to solve them and therefore increase efficiency and/or effectiveness. L’Oréal used to be a worldwide known company with high profit, and many subsidiary companies. As years passed by, the profit and the number of subsidiary companies grew. Naturally, it was worth it to have such a high number of them, because the present economic status made it possible. But around 2008, the whole world started to suffer from the financial crisis. It is logical, that if people has to spend less money, they will cut the amount of money spent on cosmetics, entertainment and will decrease the consumption of high quality products. We also know that the producs in cosmetics industry are not really differ from each other, that is why people will choose the cheaper ones, because of the crisis. L’Oréal should specify itself to be more conspicouos from the other products. Real life examples show that if someone does many different things, she or he will be less specified than doing less things in the same time. For example if I try to study while the radio and TV are switched on, I will not be as effect ive as I would be if I would concentrate only on studying. We think that the proper solution would be the decreasing of the number of the subsidiary companies because of the case written above. Therefore L’Oréal would be able to reduce the costs of advertising (which they spend a...

Self Reflection

...topic of work values and national culture. In this essay I use the Ancona Model of Team Effectiveness to argue that my team was particularly effective as a result of composition, decision-making ability and alignment with rewards. Our effectiveness could however have been improved by better ease of communication, tighter boundary management and more attention paid to maintenance behaviours. Through this task I have learnt that an effective team requires focus on many other factors than merely the task alone. Using the Ancona Team Effectiveness Model, effectiveness is measured by four components; performance, member satisfaction, team learning and outsider satisfaction (Ancona et al. p13) (example from lit: why is this relevant). My team was effective in the member satisfaction component (example from lit); prior to this assignment we had never met but we shared a similar work ethic and there was mutual trust that all individual tasks were completed by our specified deadline. (individual needs: work was shared evenly and all had high hopes for grade & primary example.) My team was also effective within the performance component (example from lit), with particular regard to timeliness and efficiency. (primary example). The extent of the groups’ effectiveness affected by a number of underlying factors, both positively and negatively. Firstly I will discuss those factors that most positively affected the group’s effectiveness with emphasis placed on the contextual facilitators...

Effectiveness of the Walls Parent

...As a child, Walls' parents chose an alternative lifestyle which they saw as beneficial, but in reality subjected their children to abuse, neglect and extreme poverty. The children had a sad and independent childhood with their parents, who often tended to their needs over their children. In The Glass Castle, Jeannette Walls writes of how as a young adult she pulled herself out of the unhealthy lifestyle of her parents, and managed to make something of herself. In The Glass Castle, Rex and Rosemary are not the ideal American parents, but they would be considered effective. They would be considered effective because they taught their children to stand up for themselves, independent, supportive and supportive and always there for each other. One of the effects that the Wall’s parents had on their children was teaching them to stand up for themselves. “The mattress shot forward, and our arsenal of rocks flew through the air. I heard them thud against Ernie’s body and clatter on the road. He screamed and cursed as his bike skidded” (166). When Brian and Jeannette go against the neighborhood bullies they show that they may not have money or what other families have but they are clever. They demonstrate their cleverness by creating their own catapult to stop Ernie Goad and his friends. To sum it all up, Jeannette and Brian learn to stand up for themselves by being a team. The second effect that the Wall’s parents had on their children was teaching them to become independent. “I was...

...Zhean Drae G. Genterola 1 PTB Physical Therapy Article Reflection The main focus and aim of Physical therapy is to help restore the physical capabilities of a certain individual. It is to bring back the physical state of a patient before he/she was injured. The article that I choose is entitled “Neuromuscular Electric Stimulation Effect on Lower-Extremity Motor Recovery and Gait Kinematics of Patients With Stroke: A Randomized Controlled Trial” by Yavuzer et al. The article is focused on the effectiveness of NMES (Neuromuscular Electric Stimulation) in helping improve the frequent motor inability of stroke patients. The article was not that effective because it was concluded that NMES combined with a conventional stroke rehabilitation program was not superior to a conventional stroke rehab program alone. But it was effective in showing the difference between these two procedures. They managed to determine insignificant gap between the results of the two processes. For me, the article, along with many other PT articles, focused on the concepts of the brain and nervous system, restoring it’s functions to a normal state. They hypothesized that the repeated dorsiflexion of the ankle by NMES may enhance selective motor skills because it helps activate the muscles that are left numb by the stroke that the patient suffered. Stroke is, of course, the loss of blood supply to the brain, thus decreasing the cerebral activity/function. The aim of NMES is to restore full function of...

Strategies on how to improve the effectiveness of our Transitional Team were researched to ensure our organization’s success. A. Members of any group collaboration must remain effective at all times to ensure success of the objectives and goals as in regards to their organization. Strategies for improving the effectiveness of the Transitional Team include: clarifying the team mission, creating a plan/objective, and conducting progress reviews. 1. When preparing for a major change, it is best to clarify the team mission. Each team member must know and can comprehend the mission, and understand their role in fulfilling such mission (Maroney, 2004). 2.
