...material or buck tail. Jigs are mainly used by more experienced anglers, but beginner fishermen can also use them. These baits take practice to get the hang of, mainly because there are many different types of jigs (Pelton 2018). The main types of jigs are casting and swim jigs. Jigs have a certain fishing finesse that is used. An angler has to cast the jig out and let it sink to the very bottom. Once they have done this, they can jump the jig off of the bottom. This is continued until a fish is caught. This type of bait is fished in thick cover areas. These areas are where there are sunken logs, debris, lily pads, thick weeds, or under thick trees. These baits work very well in these areas because they do not need to be cast out very far. This is because anglers are just bouncing the bait off of the bottom repeatedly. The angler can choose which size and color pattern they think will work best. Smaller jigs sink slower because they weigh less, but it is easier for all fish to fit small jigs in their mouth (Pelton 2018). Jigs are...

...Spring Crappie Fishing "Got one!" My fishing partner softly set the hook and pulled in the day's first fish, a ten inch crappie. Instead of longing for the opener, get out and chase the crappies! Spring crappie fishing starts in dark bottom bays and protected canals where the water is warmest shortly after ice out. If crappie fishing is not an annual event for you, ask the local bait shop where the crappies are biting. They can usually get you started in a good location. Brown trout, rainbow trout, and landlocked salmon migrate to deep lakes with cool summertime temperatures. Tackling the ice Avoid the ice until it's three or four inches thick. To best answer this question I decided to visit the Goleta Pier and interview fishermen. I went to the pier twice to conduct my research, on March 2nd and March 3rd, from 1 to 2 p.m. each time. However, ethnographers, having some idea of what it is that they want to learn in the setting, aspects of their research concerns are never far from their consciousness, even though...

Leave all other lures at home because often, more than the lure that you are using, it matters where you are fishing, the conditions of the water, and your technique. Instead of jumping from one lure to another, make sure you practice up with one. From there, you can branch out and try learning a new technique with others. Either way, the fish will come to you, eventually....
