A lot of people say graduating early is great, but I still manage to think graduate the traditional way is way better! When you graudate the traditional way you'll get the full high school experience, and get to have way more fun. Whats the rush? Were only teenagers, everyone should enjoy all four years of highschool. Graduating in three years is fine too , but you have to put the work in. You wont get to go out as much with your friends, or just to chill after school , or even in the summer. Those three years you would have to work hard and stay consistent throughout the school year. It would be nice to have a extra year to just do what you want, but its not worth rushing through your highschool epxerience. Everybody should graduate as a class,at the same time, the traditional way,so everyone can spend time together and always remember their four years of highschool. Although graduating early may seem like the best thing to do, you have to put a lot of time into it. You will have to go to summer school, take extra classes, and spend a lot of time into the books. Graduting early doesn't come easy ,you have to put your time and dedication before anything else. Your going to have to …show more content…

The traditional way is just having fun, being a teenager while you can, and just enjoying school. You can save up for your college funds, and geta job. If you graduate early and go to college you wont have as much money to pay for your books. ...The article that I chose was “Romantic Relationships and Substance Use in Early Adulthood: An Examination of the Influences of Relationship Type, Partner Substance Use, and Relationship Quality” by Charles B. Fleming, Helene R. White, and Richard F. Catalano. This article covered the effects that varying type of relationships have on substance use, and being as I went through these different stages right out of high school so I can relate and appreciate the data. This article was very easy to relate too and to understand how relationships can change you for worst or better, and the way that the data is delivered was straight forward and clear cut so I was able to interpret it clearly. The information that is given in this article was well researched and delivered, and being that this was a research paper it would give good starting points for where I should begin my own research. Although this paper was focused on a limited age range (early adulthood 18-20) it was extremely thorough in retrieving data and offers many areas where you could continue the research and look more into a specific relationship type. This paper covers the opposing affects that differing stages of relationships play on drug use, heavy drinking, and smoking, but this study only focuses on the transition between graduating high school and entering college and gives a small glimpse into what the roles play later in life. The most interesting piece of data that this article had was not only does being in...

...The Long-Term Labor Market Consequences of Graduating from College in a Bad Economy* Lisa B. Time Management and Study Habits of Graduating Accounting Students in the University of Mindanao

...TIME MANAGEMENT AND STUDY HABITS OF GRADUATING ACCOUNTING STUDENTS IN THE UNIVERSITY OF MINDANAO A Research Paper Presented to Prof. Jocel Siglos – CASE Faculty In Partial Fulfillment of the Requirements for English 201: Academic Writing, 5:30-6:30 PM By Ang, Diana Rose De Lima, Geralden Tampus, Christian Leonard March 2016 Chapter 1 The Problem and its Settings Background of the Study Time is a very important concept for everyone, especially for BSA students who want to graduate and earn a degree. In a short span of time, a student must do his assignments, pass projects before or on the deadline, and for graduating students, there’s the pre-review courses which require a lot of reading and problem solving. Time becomes even more important when they enter the professional industry since an accountant has to deal with periodic reporting and tax return filing deadlines. One would easily conclude that without proper time management and good study habits, anyone will fail in anything. Thus this study aims to explore these factors and how it actually affects the academic performances of accounting students, especially the graduating ones. Time management, as defined by Wikipedia.org, is the act or process of planning and exercising conscious control over the amount of time spent on specific activities, especially to increase effectiveness, efficiency or productivity. It is a skill that each BSA student must have in order to remain in the college....

Why You Should Consider Trade School Instead Of College Summary

...the most lucrative incentives for students. The incentive of this paper is to provide a synopsis of the reading. The compelling considerations the writer presents are derived from comprehensively offering comparisons and analysis. Coincidentally, such key factors: cost of tuition comparison, graduating challenges and percentages, length of time used to acquire a degree, and finally, the potential economic conditions with respect to the article where critically presented. The writer developed a targeted argument to underscore that while it was commendable and not only justifiable to attend a traditional four year college, there is more reason to justify trade school as the main choice to develop a career. Interestingly, the writer presents an argument that while options for future development are restricted due to the targeted vocational nature of trade school education as opposed to that of traditional college options. Coincidentally, it is within this context that the writer identifies the singularity of purpose behind why such a consideration is the most lucrative and the only reasonable considerable conclusion. Now that the paper has briefly introduce a synopsis into the context of the reading it will now develop and reinforce support for its position by relating the evidence...

California High School Exit Exams

...Michal Kurlaender    April, 2009    (full paper available at irepp.stanford.edu)         Executive Summary  Roughly half of the 50 U.S. states now require students to pass a high school exit exam in order to  graduate from high school.  These exam requirements are predicated on the belief that “raising the  bar” for graduation will motivate low‐achieving students to work harder in school, motivate schools  to improve their instruction for low‐achieving students, and provide employers with a clearer  signal of high school graduates’ skills.  Opponents of these requirements, however, argue that  creating additional barriers to graduation discourages students—particularly academically and  socially disadvantaged students—from persisting in school and hence leads to increased dropout  rates and greater inequality of educational outcomes.  Prior research has found somewhat mixed  evidence regarding the effects of exit exam requirements, though the most rigorous studies suggest  that the introduction of exit exam requirements leads to roughly a 2 percentage point decline in  high school graduation rates.  However, prior research has not examined closely the extent to which  this effect results from students leaving school early or from students failing to pass the exam  despite staying in school through 12th grade.  In addition, prior research has not examined whether  the negative graduation effect is offset by improvements in student achievement.  Finally, prior  research has not examined closely...

Critical Issues • Rather than adapting to the competitive environment, TUC continues to operate as if they were a monopoly. • TUC does not have a marketing plan to address external changes and long-term growth strategy that addresses all potential target markets. Situation Analysis TUC was widely considered to provide the highest quality of Ultimate in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA). Within the past five to ten years, various ‘for-profit’ sports clubs have taken advantage of the growing Toronto market. Despite an annual 30% growth rate, TUC faces turnover of 500 members each year. TUC began by offering a seven-man format, however other clubs have turned to smaller 5v5 league formats. Competing clubs also offer complimentary activities like social events and other recreational sports, increasing their club value. Competitors also offer their leagues in two, two-month formats rather than the traditional four-month season currently offered at TUC, providing more flexibility and reducing member commitment. Financial figures in Exhibit 2 show that competitors are able to earn up to a 25.6% larger contribution margin per team with this format. In addition, TUC does not have a formal marketing plan in place to guide long-term growth and address external changes. Decision Criteria • To see a 15% increase in member base by December 2009...

Introduction Attending College is an observable, positive trend in the African-American community. Grading Must Be Abilished

...Running Head: Grades in non major courses in U.S colleges and Universities Grades in non major courses in U.S colleges and Universities Mohammad Rahman In India, university students, even undergraduates, focus all of their studies on their major field courses. For example, engineering students take all of their courses, every term, in the school of engineering. However, every undergraduate student at the Strayer University is required to take many courses that have little or no relevance to their field of study. Although students graduates from the university with a broader education as a result of these courses, I believe that the curses should be graded other way, and that the grades for these courses for these courses should not become part of students’ GPAs. Anti-evolution, the rise of pseudo sciences, and the renewed interest in the occult, all masquerading as science, are symptomatic of the poor job that is done explicating science as a process and a way of knowing. Disciplinary teaching emphasizes fact over concept. (Brophy, D.A. (2004) Every science discipline should be taught with a process base pervasive from the first to the last day of the course. Science teaching needs be revamped to provide an integrated, non-redundant exposition of the discipline focused on principles of which the theory of evolution is only one. Science must to be related both to technology and society. Teaching has to be directed to elicit the desired ends of education and not be regarded...

Unfortunately in 2010 I sustained combat related injuries that forced me into early retirement after 7 years of actively serving. Although I had other career interest after graduating High School, once I was retired out of the Army using the skills and training I gained while servings left very few windows open for me to further my career as an civilian because of my injuries and restrictions that were placed on me. However, I have continued to have an interest in law enforcement, technology, and fashion which has allowed me to still have interest in working for particular companies/agencies in each field. Companies I Would Like To Work For I grew up in a law enforcement family which sparked my interest of being a police officer one day, but I never wanted to settle with just being a basic officer, my interest was mainly towards joining the higher ranks of law enforcement like The US Marshals Services (USM). Academic Success

...me refresh my learning abilities, learn some new critical thinking skills and has helped me in taking the beginning steps to achieve success in my education and eventually in my career. Setting long and short term goals is the key to academic success. Creating realistic long term goals such as graduating college gives us something to work towards and creates the ultimate goal. Setting short term goals such as finishing a paper early, getting all of the reading for a class done or getting an A in a class brings us one step closer to achieving the ultimate goal. Short term goals will always help bring us to our long term goal without it becoming overwhelming and working toward that goal one step at a time. One way to help achieve a short term goal of succeeding academically is the writing process. Getting your thoughts on paper, completing research, working on a thesis and outline is a great way to get organized and have a solid foundation for an assignment. Working on some free writing and creating a solid introduction and conclusion will help the rest all fall into place. Eventually this will also apply in your career. Being able to express your ideas and being able to research a topic or idea you need supporting information...
