The Seder is a Jewish feast that marks the beginning of Passover. The Seder, which starts on the 15th of Nissan retells the story of the Jews in Egypt. The Jews were slaves in Egypt for around 400 years until they were freed by their leader, Moses. During the Seder, stories are told, participants recline, wine is drank, and matza is eaten along with other food representing the Jews' rough times in Egypt. A main tradition of the Seder is that the leader wears a kittel (a white robe). Although many Jewish holidays revolve/orbit around a synagogue, the Seder takes place in a private home.
