I am able to use presentation skills, self-evaluation, and honest self-reflection to take a closer look at myself. Looking at my current courses, grades, and also how I am looked upon at my job will give me a better opportunity to move forward efficiently while pursuing my new career. It really allows me to see how instructor, managers, and co-workers currently see me. By meshing both the images of others along with the way I see myself it allows me to have a more accurate image of what I really look like (as long as I choose to be honest with myself it will). My coursework and grades are a sign of my current progress while I am enrolled as a student. Good grades show me not only that I have an understanding of the content of the courses, but also that my time management skills are progressively getting better. I feel that by continually thinking about my presentation skills, my present situation, and the current view of myself as seen by others that I will always give myself an opportunity for growth. Growth can be used as a sign of improvement, especially when it comes from an area that I know I was previously weak in or the growth was warranted. As I think back from early on in my childhood, I always remember how discipline helped to shape and mold me into the professional man that I am today. I learned early on that it in order to reach any goal in life that it will take discipline and sacrifice to make it happen. There was one goal in particular that I had as a junior in high school. I played a few sports in school including: basketball, football, track, and cross-country. I have never been the biggest, fastest, or strongest, but I always prided myself on being one of the most disciplined and hardest workers in either of the sports. While I may have played several, running was my favorite.
