I believe that having support through co-workers, classmates, and evidence based practice will make the transition from registered nurse (RN) to DNP easier. Leadership has always been a fairly grand idea to me. Mostly due to the fact that I am a brand new nurse. Each job I have had so far in life whether it was a nurse aide or RN, it has been a new role for me. So, this idea of leadership especially in the doctorate role will be quite a change. The hospital is a “no restraint facility” and strongly discourages the use of any form of restraint including leather, soft, posey vests, or chemical.
