How IT has enriched User experience!
How often would one imagine if his/her car were to be modified to have a comfortable long drive? Or how nice it would be to have the same room reserved for you when you revisit a hotel? More often, customers do care about specific aspects of a product or service in order to have a pleasant user experience. The next obvious question would be simple; how would it be possible to maintain such minute details consistently? Is there a way around? Yes, there is an answer. It is IT (Infrastructure Technology). User Experience tells how the user feels about the experience with the products/services.
In fierce competition, organizations look for an innovative way to attract and retain customers. And for that, a continuous customer engagement is critical. Right from product / service design till after-sales service, an organization interacts with customers via various touch points. For these multichannel communications, organizations manage customer profiles in their CRM software which is an IT repository from which smallest of details can be available on a single click. We have numerous organizations who achieved high number on customer loyalty by implementing CRM. One such example is of Hilton Hotels Corporations.
Co-Creation is a buzz word now-a -days. Customers actively participate in value design chain to create enormous values for both themselves and company. For Co-creation, virtual world or second life environment are mandatory. With advent of latest innovation in Information communication technologies, such environments are possible. Benefits arising from customers’ participation in such programs are visible in many products. For example, AB Volvo has accelerated product development by involving customers in virtual product test.
The core part of any product / service is customer centricity. In order to make any strategic

The Basics of Great Ux

...To the benefit of software and applications everywhere, UX has become an increasingly important step in the Software Development lifecycle. Even though UX is a slightly surreptitious layer of design, it's no less important. It, by the nature of its name, defines the experience of the users. That experience determines whether or not they want to come back for more, or run screaming in the other direction. UX is something anyone can do. The problem is not everyone can do it well. I can undertake the visual design for a website, but I guarantee you that it will look dreadful and unprofessional. If you learn nothing else about UX I ask you to remember these two things. Know thy user. You are not the user (in most cases). If you don't know your user base, their habits and tendencies, and why they do or do not perform certain actions, then you can't be expected to design a good experience for them. Even if you are very similar to your users, remember that you are only one person and that does not define the qualities of your user base as a whole. Get to know your users and design the experience with them in mind. The role of a UXer is to have that knowledge, constantly expand it, and then design with those users in mind, crafting amazing experiences that will delight and fulfill them. Let's look at all the possible steps a UXer might take in defining the UX of a product. These steps create the ideal process. These steps aren't always possible to complete in the real world,...

The Purge

...Introduction to UX Design What is User Experience? Why does it matter? User Experience (UX)  the overall experience of a person using a product such as a website or computer application, especially in terms of how easy or pleasing it is to use. Why it matters... CONSIDER THE FOLLOWING SCENARIOS 1. The accident: The accident on the road happened because the driver took his eyes off the road for a moment to turn the radio down. He had to look down because it was impossible to identify which was the volume control by touch alone. Why it matters... 2. The register: The line at the register in the gas station moved so slowly because the cash register was complex and confusing, and unless the clerk paid extra-close attention while ringing something up, he would make a mistake and have to start all over again. If the register had been simpler and the layout and colors of the buttons different, that line never would have formed. Why it matters... 3. The coffeemaker: The coffeemaker didn’t make coffee because you didn’t push down the power button all the way. The machine doesn’t do anything to let you know that it has been turned on: no light, no sound, no resistance you can feel when the button makes contact. You thought you had turned it on, but you were wrong. The problem could have been avoided altogether if you had set the coffeemaker to start brewing automatically first thing in the morning, but you never learned how to use that...

Does it mean more time required for meetings, and less for the actual design? Or does it require that less qualified people are given disproportionate influence over design decisions? Design collaboration is actually much more than asking more people for their opinions. Gamification In Game Design

...UX designers perform various tasks at various points in the process. Here are a few things usually are delivered. A/B Testing - compare the effectiveness and quality of experience of different user interfaces. A famous A/B testing is Google’s Website Optimizer; Content inventory - an organized list of pages on a website. There are plenty of methods of conducting a content inventory, a simple tool as Excel to create and manage a content inventory; etc. In addition, there are already some practical suggestions to follow when applying gamification in UX design. For instance, 1) a tangible user interfaces - with the mobile market ever expanding, we need to make sure that the users have a good experience, whatever platform they use to visit our websites. Products need to be adapted to the platform they are being served on. Responsive web design is a good solution to it. 2) constructive and helpful feedback - Feedback is not only about responding to the visitor’s actions, but also about foreseeing their actions. 3) engage your users - e.g. earn badges for completing various tasks, etc. Conversely, there are also some situations that not encourage to use gamification in UX design, such as 1) websites should not have difficulty levels - Games always have to have difficulty levels; completing a game without at least failing a couple...

Coordinates are usually read by the reading of the pointers in kilometers of traveled path from the point of departure and using the cross-track error from the desired track. АНУ-1 continuously produces the dead reckoning by integrating the components of the ground speed vector on the axis X and Y of a Cartesian coordinate system. To obtain the components of the ground speed vector Wx and Wy of aircraft on the axis X and Y of Cartesian coordinate system, the airspeed V and wind speed U on the axes of the speed triangle are converted to the projection of the velocity Vx, Vy, Ux, Uy on the axis X and Y of Cartesian coordinate system with subsequent determination of Wx and Wy, and integrating them to get the coordinates of the aircraft. This is to rebuild their user experience design and foresee an increased revenue generating from value-added services. Globe Telecom provides a diverse value added services here in the Philippines. Due to our country’s demographics, many users pre-pay rather than sign up for monthly billing. This is essential for Globe’s revenue uptake but despite the convenience of services offer, the revenue uptake is still below expectation. Globe Telecom and HFI upgraded the user experience (UX) design and created a single convergent portal – a seamless, consistent user experience between every service. HFI helped create new designs for the entire range of existing services, application by application. HFI supported Globe from creating a sustainable and permanent user experience (UX) design and gave a promising result. III.
