Let’s not exaggerate!!!

We frequently complain about headaches, tiredness and cold. They are so common to our daily routine that sometimes we don’t give them importance or just ignore them. We mostly relate them to hard work, stress and malnutrition. But is it really true? What if these symptoms turn out to be something more? “Let’s not exaggerate! It happens to me all the time. I’m sure it’s nothing” you would surely answer. And it is a very common reaction. Most of the people would say that. Because of hard work and busy, chaotic life, we just create a “not very important list” and use it every time we need an excuse to avoid an annoying visit to a doctor. “But, why do I need a doctor? He will tell me what I already know! Take some pills and stay in bed!” Maybe yes, and maybe not, anyway, you don’t know what your doctor knows. Did you know that a simple headache could be an early sign of blood pressure problems, brain tumor, flu, various types of viruses and even a pregnancy? And did you know that a persistent tiredness is a very commonly ignored disorder that indicates a lack of an important nutrition element? And did you know that a simple cold could be a greater danger when it is ignored and not properly treated? I’m sure, you didn’t. John, from California, had the same point of view. One sunny morning, he woke up with a medium size pimple on his hand. It seemed a strange thing to him, but he decided to ignore it and go on with his life. But, the pimple had a different plan, and started growing. Of course, his mother

suggested visiting a family doctor, but, John, like any ordinary kid, said that she “should not exaggerate”. As the days pass, Mr.Pimple’s relatives had already spread all over john’s face, legs and other body parts. Of course, the young man wasn’t happy about that, and finally paid a visit to a local doctor. Unfortunately, it was too late, because the infection had already extended, and John needed and immediate surgery. Ironically, the doctor stated that this surgery could be avoided by a simple treatment on the first stage. There are many examples that teach us -“in the modern world, you have to be careful”. John simply got lucky, but he is an exception. All these reasons are universal; they apply to any country or nation. It is surprising that in this technological era, people are still not using the luxury and commodity that public or private hospitals offer. Instead of that we just “google it”. Remember that, though google offers plenty of information on any possible topic, it cannot determent your physical condition precisely. So, go and see a doctor! The alarming statistic is growing every day; there are more and more victims of diseases that have common symptoms, for instance, a dangerous influenza virus H1N1, so called Swine Flu. This relatively new virus appeared in April 2009 and caused 3,900 deaths around the globe. The most dangerous feature of this disease is that it appears to be a normal flue, and can be only diagnosed with a blood test. The most common symptoms are: body aches, chills, cough, fatigue, fever, headache, loss of appetite, sore throat. Vomit and diarrhea are also frequent. These symptoms seem common, but, anyway require medical attention. So, let’s not exaggerate! Let’s stop thinking about not important things like job and money, because they really don’t matter when it comes to our health. Without health, you won’t need an expensive car or luxury journey. You simply won’t have enough time to enjoy it. As a famous
