Sports have helped me become who I am by making me have good grades, teaching me how to be a part of a team and how to be lionhearted. I remember one time specifically in middle school I had a D in one class and I was not allowed to play until I got it up. This killed me inside because I had practiced all week and not only did I let my father down I let myself, my team and my coach down by not being able to play that week. Another situation i remember was sophomore year when someone with half my talent was allowed to play varsity instead of me since my grades weren’t good.
