Create a Cloud based resource for Managing Students and Tutoring Resources

Proposal
Topic: This proposal discusses the reengineering of the business model and processes of a tutoring company, to take it from a traditional business to an e-commerce business. Due to facility costs and maintenance, administrative costs, and costs of materials, the profit margin has been in steady decline, and financial forecasts show that the current business model can’t be sustained. This lack of use of technology, is stunting the growth of the company, and making inefficient use of time and resources to conduct efficient business operations. Business Problem: The business problems to be solved are how to improve operational efficiencies, cut administrative costs and costs of resources to conduct business. By streamlining all business aspects to a cloud based resource, to increase efficiency and information management.

Name of Company or Organization: The name of the company or organization that I will be working with is Hands On Learning, a tutoring company that specializes in one on one tutoring.

Sdlc Elements

...Systems Development Life Cycle Elements Julie Lauck BSA/376 February 11, 2015 John Neels Systems Development Life Cycle Elements The Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC) is a general tool business and organizations can use to develop and implement new information systems. The projects can be large or small. The SDLC involves a variety of steps, elements or phases, and personnel to complete the project. Essential Elements of the SDLC The process of the SDLC can be described like so: “is first conceived as an idea; then it is designed, built, and deployed during a development project; and finally it is put into production and used to support the business” (Satzinger, Jackson, & Burd, 2009, Chapter 2). The four formal elements of the SDLC are the planning, analysis, design, and implementation phases. These phases make up the framework for the project and break down the task of management. The course mentioned a fifth phase (support) that involves routine testing and monitoring of the final implemented information system (Satzinger, Jackson, & Burd, 2009, Chapter 2). Planning The first phase has been noted to be the most important. The business or organization recognizes a significant problem has to solve. Analysts will then work to produce a timeline or schedule of events that must occur up to project completion. The project must be reviewed to validate feasibility. Project...

...MGT2 Task C.   A Brief Project Closure Report Discussion When all the deliverables, customer requirements and\or goals have been met in a project, in other words, at the closing of a project the Project Manager is responsible for compiling and delivering a Final Project Report, known as a Project Closure Report. A good project closure report will summarize the entire project from the beginning project plan and scope information to the lessons learned from the project. It should also include other information such as the changes to the project scope if there were any, the final project budget reconciliation, and “a recap of the performance metrics taken during the project; the budget and schedule reconciliations will provide the final project metrics”, (Mastering-project-management.com, 2009). The information for the report can be written in document format or compiled in a presentation using some type of software such as Microsoft PowerPoint. It is a good idea to have the written document even if the Project Sponsor has requested a presentation. The Project Closure Report should be submitted or presented to the Project Sponsor for final approval. Another document that would be useful when closing a project would be a Project Closing Review with fewer details of items such as budget information, used to inform the other key stakeholders of the project results and closing. The review should also provide management and the project team with insights gained as...
