Millicent Bagnold was born to an upper middle class halfblood family in Hogsmeade. Her parents had never fallen in love with each other – their marriage was clearly a business arrangement between their families. Millicent was their first daughter, to be followed only by one more, five years later. Those were the only years during which Rose and Arthur Bagnold could bear each other. Rose Bagnold was a lady taking pride in her corset-sized torso, her blonde locks and her busty cleavage; it was irrelevant whether they were ‘God-given’ or not – she was one of the brightest socialites of her time. Arthur Bagnold, also took pride in superficial things in life: the power of his money. Whereas she hoped to be sorted into Gryffindor, the Sorting Hat seemed to know her better. Ravenclaw proved to be the best house for her. Millicent was a very studious student during her first years at Hogwarts and she was often bullied for her extremely limited social skills. Her third year was transitory and by her fourth year at Hogwarts, Millicent was popular; she had found a way to express herself and that was, surprisingly, leading others. First, it was student clubs and soon, the victorious Ravenclaw quidditch team.
As a teenager, she was disobedient – but only secretly. Being one of Dumbledore’s favourites, she’d smoke and drink in Hosmeade instead of hiding somewhere in the castle as many other students did. By her sixth year, it was obvious that she had inherited her mother’s way to flirt with everyone.
