New Britain Herald's Website Case Study

For this case study, I decided to study the New Britain Herald's website. I chose this website because I interned with the newspaper over the summer as a sports reporter. I was able to write stories with them and see how the staff worked in the newsroom. My boss, Brad Carroll, was actually the one who worked on the website and uploaded all the stories. I found the Herald to be timely with their websites and every day they posted on their social media pages meaning that they had a consistent online presence. With such a reliable presence, their website should have a consistent, clean theme. After reviewing their website, although it is an accessible site there are still areas where the website can improve on. With the world evolving and turning the web for the news, it is important the website of newspapers is both attractive and user-friendly for the audience. Overview of the website …show more content…

What are the visual components a person will see when they open the website? These are some of the many choices and thoughts that go through the mind of web designers when creating their websites.
