The reason for nurse’s turnover can be attributed to different reasons, both voluntary and involuntary. For example, voluntary reasons would be the desire for change or promotion, moving to a different state, returning to school; involuntary reasons could be dismissal of facility due to closing. Also, it should be mentioned that a lot of nurse’s turnover happens because nurses feel overworked, lack of role clarity, lack of recognition, and finally just having that poor communications with their mangers/ teams leaders. Therefore, the main issue of nurse turnovers doesn’t seem to be attributed to involuntary reasons; compared to voluntary reasons, involuntary reasons are somewhat miniscule to the main issue.
