...Personality Reflection Paper Ronald Aliangan PSY/250 September 13th, 2014 My personality can be defined as an amiable person that really cares about others. I am outgoing, sensitive, emotional, and direct. I have been known to put other people’s needs in front of my own. I am not usually short on things to say. Also I love being around friends and family, but also really love to have my alone time. I have two older sisters that ironically have very different personalities then mine but they are both very similar to one another. All of my life I have been a popular person that excelled at athletics, and have been a bit defined by that sadly enough. I also have a creative side. I like painting, drawing, and playing the guitar. As I know, this is a vast way of defining my personality, but I feel this is the best way that I know how. My key personality features are that I am outgoing, charismatic, friendly, loving, and impatient. Some concepts that people may use when explaining me would be, “bull in a china shop”, and “hard on the outside but soft on the inside”. Generally I different around everyone. There is a significant difference in the way I act around my friends and family opposed to the way I would act around a person that had quite a bit of age on me, at least in the topics I would discuss and the way I would discuss them. I would be lying if I said that I didn’t act different around the oposite sex then when I am just hanging out...

...Personality Reflection Many people question what personality is and how personality is determined and measured. All human beings are born with a unique personality, which develops and matures similarly to physical growth, and the degree of development and maturity is contingent upon environment and upbringing. This paper will reflect upon the concept of what personality is, and address questions relevant to personality testing and its reliability and validity. What is Personality? “Personality is the combination of characteristics or qualities that form an individual's distinctive character” ("Personality," 2012). This textbook definition is an excellent summation of what personality is, as there is no one way to describe personality, since it is a blend of key aspects such as: unconscious, ego forces, cognitive, biological, conditioning, traits and predispositions, spiritual, and interaction (Friedman & Schustack, pp. 2-3, 2009). Combined, these eight perspectives can assist in the definition and understanding the complexities of an individual’s personality. Personality is what defines us as unique individuals, what attracts or repels us to each other, and ultimately personality determines our outlook and approach in regards to living life. My Defining Personality Features I believe I possess both positive and negative key personality features, as do many people. Positive personality features that define myself are being extroverted, sympathetic to others feelings...

...Personality Reflection PSY/250 Personality Reflection In this Personality Reflection, I will define personality and define personal features of my own personality structures. Personality is what defines our characteristics as a human being. Individuals have different personality traits that make up our behavioral characteristics, which may include how we think or react. Some characteristics are inherited in our genes. For example, I have a mannerism of always chewing my tongue ever since I was a child, which I am usually unaware of doing except when my friends and family notices it and mentions it to me. My son does the same thing of chewing his tongue when he was between the age of two and three. Personalities are unique and people are genetically born with their own unique personality, although environment plays an important role in molding a person’s personality. Environments can vary from living in poverty versus being rich, having a nurturing family versus being neglected as a child, or living in a violent environment versus living in a quiet environment. The environment can vary, and the experiences of a person can mold the unique personality that he was born with. The key personality features that defines me is I try to maintain an appearance to show friendliness, happy, non-stressed, never moody, and a smile that welcomes people to get to know me. Depending of the environment my personality can change, according to the environment that I am in. In my work environment...

...Personality Reflection People often speak of the personality as if it were good. Not only that, sometimes speak as if the personality faces consisted of attractive and admirable, but do not see that personality is something with a bit of confusion and includes both positive and negative traits. The personality is composed of a number of features we use. Personality is the sum total of the ways in which an individual reacts and relates with others. Personality is determined by genes, which provide a variety of trends. But the environment and life experiences dealing with mold all these possibilities in one direction or another. That's why although we may change our way of being, we do agree with some personality traits with which we come into the world. Personality is very attached to the concept that human beings have of themselves and the world around them, as people react to the world according to their perceptions. The personality determines the way of seeing the world and sees ourselves, but at the same time, the way we see ourselves affects our personality. Personality is defined as the set of attitudes and behavioral style of a person, or the entire set of psychological traits that characterize a person and distinguish them from all others. It is easy to talk about physical or personality traits without defining the term itself. And we do frequently: Do not trust this man. It is honest, has a good heart, and so on. But it is difficult to process a broad definition...

The personality is what makes a person grow into who they are and who they will become. It is basically just a lot of features that make a person do and act the way they do. It makes them who they are. For example; what type of attitude they have towards something. The way they prefer to do something. The way they speak. And the way the person presents themselves to others. What things that they like to do and how they decide to get it done. Some personality features that would describe me would probably be that I am very shy, and I am just a laid back. I try to do as much as I can to succeed my goals. I am a hard working person. I would prefer to work alone than with a lot of people. I love to bake cakes and decorate them. I am a mom. I have two wonderful little boys. They have a lot to do with the way that I have become; I think that this one would also be a personality trait. It is another trait that has shaped me into the person that I have become. There are a lot of feature that would describe me personally that are both positive and negative. Some of the negative things would be I hate cleaning and it takes me a long time to get my house clean. I can be very selfish when I get stressed out or when I get mad. There are many more negative ways to describe me but, I...

People are different everywhere. Although the “experts” think that people are grouped into one of 16 different personalities that share some of the characteristics. Most of us have heard about Type A and Type B personalities. I propose that we all have variations of both Type A and Type B personalities. I will go even further and say that most of us are a mixture of those 16 different personality traits. Some we are born with, some have been taught to us. The results of my competencies will prove that I am like everyone else am a mixture of those personality types. According to the competency results my overwhelming vitality is my capability to adapt to change. I believe this shows great strength. The personality that you think you possess, is that the same personality that comes across to others? Have you ever taken a test to find out your personality traits? Do you believe these tests? If so, why are they valid? Before answering these questions, one must know the definition of personality. What is the definition of one’s personality? Definition online describes personality as the quality or condition of being a person; the totality of qualities and traits, as of character or behavior, peculiar to a specific person; the pattern of collective character, behavioral, temperamental, emotional, and mental traits of a person; and distinctive qualities of a person, especially those distinguishing personal characteristics that made one socially appealing. At the end this researcher may have a better insight into herself as well as the personalities of others. This insight can help her in her future endeavors. Personality I would define personality as what makes each individual different. Each human being’s personality is as unique as they are. While most people define personality to describe another’s more apparent characteristics, psychologists use personality to try to give reason to similar personalities reacting differently in the exact same single occurrence. For example, individuals with identical backgrounds, motivations, and experiences react very differently to a single event. Some believe that we are each born with our personalities; however I believe that we are born with certain inherent traits while the rest develop because of our environment and our experiences. One’s personality allows one to be expressly unique and exceptional. It is what defines us as individuals and separates us from others. Key Personality Features Some key features that define who I am are responsible, loyal, trustworthy, honest, dedicated, open-minded, respectful, patient, and courteous. ...Personality Reflection Paper Lisa Rutherford PSY 250 March 26, 2013 Harry Lowe Personality Reflection Paper I would define personalities as the different characteristics that make up and define every one as individuals. It is a composition of thoughts, feelings, and behaviors unique to every person. Some people have very interesting personalities, outgoing, happy go lucky, ready to get up and start their day. Then there are others which are just plain nonsocial, and do not want anything to do with others, just want to be quiet and to themselves. I am a very outgoing, bubbly, ready to enjoy life. I enjoy talking to people and will strike up a conversation just about anywhere, the Laundromat, the grocery or the gas station. Many people have told me I would be a great waitress because I have a bubbly personality. A friend of mine is very spiritual and has told me he has seen my spirit. It is very free and I am a good person inside. Good thing because I feel that way all the time. The unconscious part of my personality, yes, I see myself doing things as my parents have done or said with my own children. Expecting high goals from them, such as grades, and how they treat others. My personality does change with the environment around me. I notice that if everyone is quiet or laid back then I tend to do the same. This drives me crazy sometimes as I am a go getter and want to always go, go, and go. Before moving to Texas three weeks ago, I had a problem with neuroticism. I...
