In “Journeys of Faith”, Plummer talks about the similarities with accepting Christ as one personal Savior. In Evangelicalism and Catholicism, one must first believe in Jesus before one is saved. Salvation comes from confessing Jesus is Lord and believing God raised him from the grave to be saved. Salvation is the first step in one’s Christian journey. It requires God’s grace to give one time to accept salvation. Erickson talks about the medium salvation and basically it refers to the Catholics believing that grace is spread and established by taking the bread of the Eucharist .
