How do you change a flat tire? We’ll there is a few easy steps to doing so. First, you have to find a good place to pull over to change the flat. Never pull over on a steep shoulder. Second, you have to have the right tools to change your flat with. Third, always turn on your hazard lights (also known as flashers), and last, make sure your spare has air in it. The process to changing a flat tire is not that hard; you just gotta use your common sense. Common sense will take you a long way in life.

You’re going down the road and have a flat tire; no need to panic. Find a good place to pull over to change the tire. Wherever you decide to pull over at, make sure that you have a good place to change the tire. Make sure that the shoulder isn't too steep where u pull off at. If the shoulder is too steep to pull over on, ease up the road until you find a good place to pull over at. If it is raining never pull off where there is mud because you might get stuck. Never pull over on the left side of the road. …show more content…
After you pull over, check and make sure you have all of your tools to change your flat tire with. Get ur jack out of your vehicle or wherever it is at and make sure u got all your parts to ur jack. Your jack is it a different place in different place such as under the seat or in the side of the truck. Always make sure your jack is in a sturdy spot because if it isn’t then the jack might start to roll and then if your vehicle falls, you will have more problems than just a flat tire. Whenever you start to jack up your vehicle make sure you put the jack in a place where it will not mess up anything or tear something up on your vehicle. Some vehicles have a lug wrench but some people don't worry bout that because they carry a 4 way. In my opinion, I would carry a 4 way because if you don’t have the right lug wrench then your just crap out of luck, but with a 4 way it has 4 different sizes and 1 of them should fit your lug

Rhetorical Analysis Of Life In The Eyes Of Nancy Mairs

...Michael Cooper Professor Goins ENG -11-25 30 September 2024 Life in the Eyes of Nancy Mairs Those who are fully able-bodied often take very little time to imagine what their own lives would be like if they did not have full use of their body, let alone imagine how those suffering from physical disabilities experience life. Nancy Mairs aims to make readers more mindful of those with disabilities through her intimate personal narrative, “On Being a Cripple”, which tackles the subject of her experience with multiple sclerosis. Multiple sclerosis, abbreviated as MS, is a neurodegenerative disease in which one’s nerves are essentially attacked, slowly paralyzing limbs and eroding control over bodily functions. At the time of publication of...

Analyzing the Author's Purpose

...underlying purpose will help you interpret the context of the writing. It will also help you see why writers make the decisions they do—from the largest decisions about what information to present to the smallest details of what words to use. The chapter concludes with instructions on how to write an analysis of purpose and technique. This kind of rhetorical analysis will provide the perspective required to keep you from being pushed by words in directions you don’t want to go. T 103 104 Part 1 Writing About Reading The Writer's Purpose Insofar as people know what they are doing, they plan their actions to achieve their purposes. Someone who selects the purpose of being rich will design and carry out a set of actions, legal or illegal, to gain the desired wealth. A person who wants to gain great wisdom will design an entirely different life course. Writers, whether they want most to be wealthy or wise, have specific purposes they hope to achieve by any piece of work. If they are skilled writers—that is, in control of what they write—they design each aspect of what they are writing to achieve their purpose. Being aware of the writer's purpose when you read helps you evaluate how well the writer has achieved the purpose and decide whether you want to follow where the writer is trying to lead you. The active reader reads more than the words and more than even the ideas: the active reader reads what the writer is doing. The active reader reconstructs the overall...

...UNIT 1- CAR BODY DETAILS Cars can come in a large variety of different body styles. Some are still in production, while others are of historical interest only. These styles are largely (though not completely) independent of a car's classification in terms of price, size and intended broad market; the same car model might be available in multiple body styles (or model ranges). For some of the following terms, especially relating to four-wheel drive / SUV models and minivan / MPV models, the distinction between body style and classification is particularly narrow. Please note that while each body style has a historical and technical definition, in common usage such definitions are often blurred. Over time, the common usage of each term evolves. For example, people often call 4-passenger sport coupés a "sports car", while purists will insist that a sports car by definition is limited to two-place vehicles. Body work In automotive engineering, the bodywork of an automobile is the structure which protects: ⦁ The occupants ⦁ Any other payload ⦁ The mechanical components. In vehicles with a separate frame or chassis, the term bodywork is normally applied to only the non-structural panels, including doors and other movable panels, but it may also be used more generally to include the structural components which support the mechanical components. Construction There are three main types of automotive bodywork: ⦁ The first automobiles were designs...

Flattner 4 and 5

... It was the 1990s, the dot-com market was booming, and he was a senior manager for IBM, helping to oversee its emerging e-commerce business. "I had a whole team with me and a budget of about $8 million," Cohen recalled. "We were competing head-to-head with Microsoft, Netscape, Oracle, Sun-all the big boys. And we were 82 playing this very big-stakes game for e-commerce. IBM had a huge sales force selling all this e-commerce software. One day I asked the development director who worked for me, 'Say, Jeff, walk me through the development process for these e-commerce systems. What is the underlying Web server?' And he says to me, It's built on top of Apache.' The first thing I think of is John Wayne. 'What is Apache?' I ask. And he says it is a shareware program for Web server technology. He said it was produced for free by a bunch of geeks just working online in some kind of open-source chat room. I was floored. I said, 'How do you buy it?' And he says, Tou download it off a Web site for free.' And I said, 'Well, who supports it if something goes wrong?' And he says, 'I don't know-it just works!' And that was my first exposure to Apache . . . "Now you have to remember, back then Microsoft, IBM, Oracle, Netscape were all trying to build commercial Web servers. These were huge companies. And suddenly my development guy is telling me that he's getting ours off the Internet for free! It's like you had all these big corporate executives plotting strategies, and then...

Fwhy Fairness Matter

...Why Fairness Matters Progressive Versus Flat Taxes Robert J. Shapiro April 1996 Pro gres s iv e FOUNDATION Why Fairness Matters: Progressive versus Flat Taxes Progressive Foundation The Progressive Foundation works to develop and promote a new progressive political philosophy and governing agenda for America based on individual liberty, equal opportunity, civic responsibility, and nonbureaucratic governance. The substantive work of the Foundation revolves around some of the most difficult challenges facing America in the 1990s: assuring upward mobility for working Americans in the new world economy; resolving the great American dilemma of race; restoring a civil society and strengthening the social ties that foster a sense of community; finding America’s proper role in the post-Cold War world; and rethinking the size, shape, and mission of government in an Information Age. The Foundation explores public controversies over cultural questions—race, ethnicity, gender, religion, morality, and civic education—that are often ignored in conventional political discourse. The Foundation’s Project on Tax Reform and Economic Growth works to develop a tax reform program that is consistent with a progressive distribution of the tax burden, and can help promote stronger job and business formation, greater productivity, and higher family incomes. This report is the first of two new reports outlining the essential features of such a tax reform program. The preface contains more...

...UNDERSTANDING CUSTOMER NEEDS Barry L. Bayus Kenan-Flagler Business School University of North Carolina Chapel Hill, NC 27599 (919)962-3210 cherryflavorine@gmail.com January 2005 Revised November 2007 prepared for Shane, S. (ed.), Blackwell Handbook of Technology and Innovation Management, Cambridge, MA: Blackwell Publishers The comments of the following people on an earlier draft are greatly appreciated: Sridhar Balasubramanian, Dick Blackburn, Paul Bloom, Ed Cornet, Ely Dahan, Abbie Griffin, Steve Hoeffler, Erin MacDonald, Jackki Mohr, Bill Moore, Vithala Rao, Allan Shocker, and Gal Zauberman. Introduction Touted as the “most significant category innovation since toilet paper first appeared in roll form in 1890,” dispersible (flushable) moist toilet tissue on a roll was introduced in the United States by Kimberly Clark in 2001. According to a corporate press release, Cottonelle Fresh Rollwipes was a breakthrough product that “delivers the cleaning and freshening of pre-moistened wipes with the convenience and disposability of toilet paper.” Internal market research seemed to indicate that there was a clear customer need for a new product to supplement dry toilet paper. Surveys and focus groups revealed that over 60% of adult consumers had experimented with a moist cleaning method (e.g., using baby wipes, wetting a washcloth, sprinkling water on dry toilet paper) and one out of four used a moist cleaning method...

...reassuring to know that many professionals undergo these same strange compulsions before they begin writing. Jean Kerr, author of Please Don’t Eat the Daisies, admits that she often finds herself in the kitchen reading soup-can labels—or anything—in order to prolong the moments before taking pen in hand. John C. Calhoun, vice president under Andrew Jackson, insisted he had to plow his fields before he could write, and Joseph Conrad, author of Lord Jim and other novels, is said to have cried on occasion from the sheer dread of sitting down to compose his stories. To spare you as much hand-wringing as possible, this chapter presents some practical suggestions on how to begin writing your short essay. Although all writers must find the methods that work best for them, you may find some of the following ideas helpful. But no matter how you actually begin putting words on paper, it is absolutely essential to maintain two basic ideas concerning your writing task. Before you write a single sentence, you should always remind yourself that 1. You have some valuable ideas to tell your reader, and 2. More than anything, you want to communicate those ideas to your reader. These reminders may seem obvious to you, but without a solid commitment to your own opinions as well as to your reader, your prose will be lifeless and boring. If you don’t care about your subject, you can’t very well expect anyone else to. Have confidence that your ideas are worthwhile and that your reader genuinely...
