Having a proper plan in place it will save the company money, time, and provide a balances way of having stock available for customer. Assigning product code numbers on clothing merchandise upon delivery from vendors allow the item to be accounted for and to re-ordered the item and ensure that it will always be in stock and not create overstock that hurts company profit. Not meeting customer demands for a product by not keeping it in stock lessens the chance of repeat customers.
