...Before you self harm in any way, you should probably know what you’re getting into. Before you make that cut, please keep in mind that you will find the pain release and blood strangely addictive. You may think to yourself that you’ll be able to control it, that you won’t let it get out of hand. You may think that you can just stick to a few small, shallow cuts here and there that won’t be deep and that will heal quickly and easily. But you’re wrong. You can’t control it, it’s impossible to control. It controls you. It’s an addiction. The cuts will get deeper, they’ll scar. They’ll take weeks to months to heal and years for the scars to actually begin to fade. You’ll find that soon, you depend on it. You can’t go more than a few days without cutting. You’ll go crazy as your skin itches and burns, your hands shake, your head pounds, your vision goes blurry as you try to keep your mind off of it, try to hold back from giving in. But you will. If you think you can limit the cuts to just one area of your body, you better think again. It’ll spread slowly but steadily, like a deadly virus. It’ll spread as you run out of skin, from your wrists to arms, past your elbows, up your shoulders down to your stomach, across your hips and waist and soon will cover your every inch of your legs right down to your ankles. I hope you’re prepared to withdraw from others and live in a constant state of shame and guilt. Even if you have been the most honest person to ever live...

...beautiful assistant and then proceeds to shove her into a box, pull out a saw, and cut her in half in front of the entire audience. Some people call it magic, I will tell you the secret behind this mystifying stunt. The first thing the magician does is introduce the set, there is a large box sitting on a platform and his assistant. The magician opens the box, his assistant climbs in and all that is showing is her head, her feet and maybe even her legs. The magician then continues to close the box and turn to the audience. Now what you don’t know is that in the platform under the box there is another assistant that the audience doesn't know about. So when the magician turns to the audience he will then preform some mumbo jumbo magic stuff like saying some words or waving a wand. Then he will casually block the first assistants feet from view by either blocking it with another miscellaneous prop for a moment or by rotating the box, this gives his first assistant enough time to pull her feet in and the second assistant to poke her feet out, wearing the same shoes of course, the magician then grabs the saw blade and makes a cutting motion through a pre cut line in the box. Then the magician will split the box in half revealing the middle and amazing the audience even more. Then he closes the box does whatever he does to cover the legs and then opens up the box to show that he did not actually in fact cut his assistant in half. The crowd then cheers out of amazement and the magician...

...Human resource management LabCo, a large construction-contracting firm, is faced with the decision of switching from the percentage of completion method to the completed contract method for one of its contracts with one of its customers, Halibut. The contract called for a six-axis laser, cutting machine that would be used to cut aircraft wings for fighter jets that would be sold by Halibut to a large government buyer. LabCo realized that this would be a unique arrangement that would require a lot of specifications, however, based on its experience with similar contracts and with working with Halibut before, LabCo decided that the percentage of completion would be appropriate for this contract. As this project progressed, LabCo encountered many problems. Their chief financial officer finally decided that the amount to be estimated for this contract could no longer be reliably estimated, and that the percentage of completion method would no longer be the appropriate method for recognizing revenue. LabCo’s accounting policy for the revenue treatment of its contracts is quite reasonable. First of all, LabCo’s business primarily involves the design and manufacture of large industrial-sized machinery and tooling that is used by its customers in manufacturing parts and components for fighter jets, transport planes, and other aerospace-related machinery and equipment which falls under the contracts covered in ASC 605-35-15-2,3. ASC 605-35-15-2 covers contracts as “binding agreements...

...are basically digging for information about the problem going on and you try to find results by using the internet, books or any source to get your answers. There will be results maybe through testing or charts will appear from studies to support the answers. A non-scientific inquiry is one that does not use a systematic collection of evidence or one that tries to find answers to questions about things other than the natural world/universe, such as beliefs. An example of everyday assumption is gender or stereotyping of what you see that what you assume this more like expectations. If women are mowing the lawn there is going to be a man that will approach you and tell you how to do things properly or what to wear in order to for you to cut the grass right. The answers will come to you without seeking them, just because she is a women it doesn’t mean that she don’t know what’s she doing it is just an assumption because of her gender. The cutting of a lawn is supposed to be a man’s job so they feel they need to say something about it. But all of this is not...

...can go 4-5 days but if the temperature is staying in the mids30’s the deer could hang for a week. The longer it hangs the better meat quality. First make all the skin cuts, so that there is limited amount of hair on the meat. Also cut the front legs off just above the knee, do both legs and brush away the hair. Use the knife to help peel away the skin, grab on the skin and pull it down towards the shoulders. Slow down once you near the shoulders because you will need to make sure you are skinning over the shoulder meat and not cutting the meat off the deer with the skin. The front legs of the deer aren’t attached to the body by any sort, only muscle. Carefully run the knife around the front legs from the knee end, this helps pull the leg skin off. Once the skin is freed from the leg it can be removed like pulling an arm from a sleeve. The only meat to cut will be near the backbone where the muscle holds the shoulder on, therefore just cut the shoulder off by holding it away from the body and cutting the connecting tissue. With the front legs gone, skinning will be easier. It will get harder to skin the farther you go. Once you near the head, just cut the neck meat around until just the neck bones are holding the head on, use a saw to complete this. Now start on the back strap by making cuts below the pelvis. Cut along the back bone of each...

...Seventeen year old Molly was cleaning the meat slicer (Bridgemohan, Side-effects 65). To clean the meat slicer you have to expose the blade and lift the safety (Bridgemohan, Side-effects 65). She was beyond tired she could not see straight (Bridgemohan, Side-effects 65). While she was cleaning the slicer her finger came in contact with the spinning blade and sliced over an inch off her index finger (Bridgemohan, Side-effects 78). The cause of this accident was that Molly, reportedly, pulled an all-nighter the previous night to finish her essay for a college application (Bridgemohan, Side-effects 64). Teens that are overwhelmed and stressed due to school work and part-time job while try to find a way get passed that stress. One usual solution is to pull and all-nighter, which is where a teen stays up all night to finish homework. Unfortunately sleep deprivation has its symptoms, it can lead to a decrease in athletic ability, ability to focus or concentrate, reaction times, alertness, ability to learn, ability to recall what you have previously learned, and quality of work and performance (Bridgemohan, Side-effects 67). Sleep deprivation can also increase memory lapse, accidents, injuries, mood problems, behavior problems, and time needed to process information (Bridgemohan, Side-effects 67). Unfortunately not all teens are able to do that and their stress can build to what is called chronic stress. Chronic stress has some harmful symptoms such as chronic tiredness, sleep disturbance...

...“Micron-7” is capable of defining position for the first cut. For that you need to: 1. using the buttons for lifting-lowering the saw move it approximately near the place of the first cut (the lower indicator will show the distance between saw and table). 2. using keyboard type-in the thickness of all the requested boards in order from top downward. As example of the described above, we will enter: 50 2 40 25 2 After that, the upper indicator will show the sum of enterer thickness of all the boards with allowance for the sawing kerfs and the saw will move to the coordinate of the first cut. 3. perform the cut; 4. lift the saw above the cut (the upper indicator will show the thickness of the next board), return the saw frame to the...

...The Cut is a dystopian play. It’s based around themes such as pain, absence of love and suffering. Both scenes are equally disturbing, however, act one is what kicks off the play and, to an extent, gives the audience an idea of what the play will be about as well as how they should feel and respond to scenes. There is a great deal of uncertainty in act one which makes the audience feel disturbed and uncomfortable. The talk of the Cut, the role of the government and their society in general makes act one a lot more disturbing to watch than act two. Paul and John’s constant mention of the Cut could make the audience feel uncomfortable because of the fact they don’t actually know what it is. “…it’s a ritual, a custom, something we…” – John is referring to the Cut here and he is describing it as though it’s a traditional thing to have done in their society, the use of the word “custom” implies that the Cut is something that their society expects the majority of people to have, the fact that the audience don’t know why makes the thought of the Cut disturbing. Contrary to John’s description of the Cut, Paul describes it as a painful thing – “the great screams as the instruments go in?” From the word “instruments” we can gather that the Cut is a form of surgery – The fact that there are two different attitudes towards the Cut alienates the audience from the play’s plot. It makes the audience question the Cut – is it a good thing or is it a bad thing? The Cut was written by Mark...

...Cost Cutting: How to Do It Right In the magazine article published in Fortune, written by Ronald Henkoff, focuses on the past present and future of cost cutting. At the time the article was published the “Nineties” had just begun. Businesses had cut cost the past decade and were projected to continue slashing the workforce. Different businesses chose different approaches to why they chose to downsize employees. However, companies that cut the workforce to save on cost noticed that they could never seem to cut cost enough. Corporations noticed downsizing only led to more downsizing. The initial benefits of payroll cuts seem to still net zero change due to other issues caused by downsizing within the company. This vicious cycle was neither solving company budget issues nor leaving surviving employees content. Budget cuts in the past and present were not going to solve the issues. Something needed to change heading toward the future. Indeed corporate America at the time was overstaffed and overmanaged, and downsizing was inevitable. However, the process of downsizing needed to change. The article mentions several successful companies during this time knew the cost cutting process had to change and were accomplishing it. These successful cost cutting businesses understood that downsizing not only effected the individual, but the company as a whole. Downsizing affects the whole quality of decision making. Employees are always looking over their shoulders. Managers and executives...

...Most basic strategies are an attempt to create open lanes on the field for the exchange of the disc between the thrower and the receiver. Organized teams assign positions to the players based on their specific strengths. Designated throwers are called handlers and designated receivers are called cutters. The amount of autonomy or overlap between these positions depends on the make-up of the team. Vertical stack[edit] One of the most common offensive strategies is the vertical stack. In this strategy, a number of offensive players line up between the disc and the end zone they are attacking. From this position, players in the stack make cuts (sudden sprints) into the space available, attempting to get open and receive the disc. The stack generally lines up in the middle of the field, thereby opening up two lanes along the sidelines for cuts, although a captain may occasionally call for the stack to line up closer to one sideline, leaving open just one larger cutting lane on the other side. Variations of the vertical stack include the Side Stack, where the stack is moved to a sideline and one player is isolated in the open space, and the Split Stack, where players are split between two stacks, one on either sideline. In vertical stack offenses, one player usually plays the role of 'dump', offering a reset option which sets up behind the player with the disc. Horizontal stack[edit] Another popular offensive strategy is the horizontal stack. In the most popular form of this offense...

...I have thoroughly enjoyed my time at One Bistro. I have been going every Wednesday since the first week; I believe that makes a total of three times. I have only been able to go and volunteer on Wednesdays due to my work schedule. I get to One Bistro before they open, usually around ten o’clock. I haven’t had much interaction with the customers but I have had a chance to talk to some of the workers who volunteer for there meals. I have set tables, cleaned dishes, and cut and bagged bread. Normally when I first get there I help set tables. The dishes are normally done, except for on my first visit. After I’m finished with the tables I get the tedious task of cutting and bagging bread. This bread is not a nice soft, cuts like butter bread. It is very hard and crusty, like a brick. The first time I was asked cut the bread, I came away with a huge blister on my finger. As far as Service-Learning goes I enjoy it. It is a great way to get involved and get to know new people. The only problem that I can think of is that I don’t have much contact with the customers that come in. With my schedule I am only able to go Wednesday mornings before they open. I hope to get a weekend off from work and be able to go and experience the atmosphere when there are real customers in the restaurant and not just workers. The work and reading in class relates to One Bistro by being able to take what I am doing and expressing it so that a person who has never been there can still experience and...

...time to prepare the roads. Then, there is also the fact that because we so rarely get this sort of weather, the state cut the budget for salting the roads, and no longer has funds available for salting the roads. There were a few school busses, that upon early release, skidded and had accidents, and a number of children were injured as a result. Other than these bitter cold temps, which have also kept dad and I both pretty much bedridden with pain, we’re doing well overall. Darlys is a distance runner on the varsity team, as a freshman, Desirey, with her new IEP in place is doing much better in school, although she is still being bullied and pushed down the stairs and gym bleachers daily. I look forward to hearing how each of you are doing! Love always, Jody Ann Dear sir or madam, Address this letter to a city department, like the street department, or public works. It is with great concern that I am writing to you. With the recent changes to our state budget cutting or at the very least reducing our funds for salting the roads during times we have ice/snow our children’s safety in particular, is at risk. It has come to my attention numerous school busses have been involved in accidents, which resulted in children being injured. Considering that our children will be affected by these same cuts to their education, truly need to reconsider all the budget cuts, and put our kid’s safety and education as top...
