1. During stage two, subject 1 did 52,812J of work and subject 2 did 35,208J of total work.
The power output for subject 1 and 2 during rest minutes was 0 since no work was being done. As the intensity increased for the male subject, the power output increased to 48.9, then to 73.35watts and lastly to 97.8 watts. For the female subject, the power output started with 24.45 watts, then 48.9 watts and lastly 73.35 watts. According to figure 7 and 8, the systolic blood pressure increased for both subject 1 and 2. The difference between the two subjects is that subject 1 started at a relatively normal systolic blood pressure of 120 mmHg and increased slightly to 130 mmHg as power output increased, remaining at a steady state. However subject 2 started at a relatively low systolic blood pressure of 112 mmHg and ended up surpassing subject 1 with a systolic blood pressure of 135 mmHg. According to figure 2 and 3, it shows that the rate pressure product, pulse pressure, and mean arterial pressure did increase due to exercise intensity. Based on the subjects’ formula’s, it is expected that both subjects would have an increase throughout due to the steady increase of pace. According to figure 2 on subject 1, it shows that the rate pressure product, pulse pressure, and mean arterial pressure were steady throughout and was very consistent, however, table 3 on subject 2 demonstrate opposite results where the rate pressure product, pulse pressure, and mean arterial pressure constantly increase and only decreases during the recovery
