At 10 a.m I attended a presentation called Post-War Segregation in Chadron. The presentation was given by David Christensen a professor of history, his presentation consisted of Post-War Segregation of race affiliations in Chadron, Nebraska and surrounding areas in the past leading up to World War II. Dr. Christensen talked about segregation among Native Americans. Racism was very heavy in Western Nebraska. In 1954 Kansas held a victory for African Americans after the case of Brown vs. Board of Education. While they fought for African American rights, no one fought for the Native American Lakota rights.
