...As this semester comes to an end, I am extremely grateful that I could participate in this psychology practicum. Reflecting on the past couple months I am glad I could experience this as I think this class help me learn and explore myself as a person. Back in my first journal I had three objectives that I hoped to achieve throughout this course. I not only believe I achieved them, I also think I have learned some valuable and important lessons in my life. My first objective was to be able to understand psychology theories and apply them in real life, every day situations. Following that, my second objective was for me to assess my future career path. Finally, the last objective was to be able to apply my everyday learning to my personal life, such as sports. This class has helped me enlighten the fact that I am already applying psychological theories into everyday situations without me knowing it. Understanding and applying theories both tie into my first and last objective for this class. Over the course of the semester, I have come to realize that I have been applying psychology in different situations to react and deal with the situation accordingly. During this time, I have found myself assessing people more – are they introverted or extroverted, how can I motivate them in doing a specific task, and even ways to grab their attention. This has helped me apply it to my everyday life to help me understand people and their actions more. Throughout the practicum, it becomes apparent...

...orient our limited resources to a subset of relevant items in our environment. Models of visual selective attention have suggested a dichotomy between top-down and bottom-up attentional control. Top-down influences guide goal-directed behavior such that we select stimuli relevant to current task demands, whereas, bottom-up factors such as physical salience automatically capture attention. Therefore, attention can be orientated voluntarily to stimuli related to our current goals but also involuntarily by physically salient stimuli (Corbetta & Shulman, 2002; Desimone & Duncan, 1995; Egeth & Yantis, 1997; Itti & Koch, 2000; Posner & Petersen, 1990)....

According to Popescu, in the International Conference on Management and Industrial Engineering “The process of strategic management consists of an ongoing analysis, decisions, and actions activities to create and sustain competitive advantages in order to obtain desired competitive position and achieve strategic objectives”(Popescu,2013). ...MK811 Helpful Notes for Case Analysis In case analyses in Marketing, we first try to get a good idea of the goals and obstacles facing the firm. Thenwe engage in analysis, followed by recommendations for action. What precisely are goals and obstacles? GOAL What the actors in the case (i.e., the firm) should be trying to achieve (improved profit, sales, customer lifetime value, market share, etc.). Note that goals are NOT a “decision to be made”, such as “what price should we choose?” What impedes or restrains them from achieving the goal. Obstacles are specific things or situations that may get in the way of the goal (company culture, new product development processes, competitors, government or environmental issues, customer education, etc.). OBSTACLES ANALYSIS Key issues underlying or affecting the goal and or obstacles. Analyses such as: competitor analysis, customer decision-making analysis, break-even analysis, quantitative analyses, channel analyses, SWOT analysis, etc. Recommended approach, based upon the analysis, that will overcome the obstacles and allow the firm to achieve the goal. ...marketing plan is about a Chiropractic Center in Fremont, Nebraska. The plan outlines market analysis, recommendations, strategies and evaluation controls to establish Chiropractic business for the client. The plan submitted is poor in nature and has some specific problems and improvements in the designated marketing strategy areas. Lot of sections mismatched or misplaced and there are many problems in the case analysis. We have identified seven areas and recommendations provided that will improve the case analysis drastically. Those areas include Executive Summary, Situation Analysis, SWOT Analysis, Marketing Goals and Objectives, Marketing Strategy, Marketing Implementation, Evaluation and Control. Executive summary is a summarized version of overall marketing plan and should contain an effective paragraph about goals/objectives, strategy elements, implementation issues and expected outcomes. The current executive summary has only background of the firm and an Introduction. Even if the marketing plan is excellent, without a proper and concise executive summary the plan will fail to catch the attention of target executive audience. First recommendation is to rewrite the whole executive summary section. Situation Analysis is the analysis of three components Internal environment, External environment and Customer environment. This 3 prong analysis will explain about the firm's goals, strategies, objectives and how these are going to be achieved keeping in mind about the external...
