...Jonathan dies and David becomes King. 2 Sam 4 and 5 gave an analysis of how David defeated Saul, the death of Jonathan and Saul’s other household members, to become King of Israel. 2 Sam 4:4 recorded the fact that Jonathan had a son Mephibosheth who was crippled on both feet. He was dropped by his Nanny while trying to escape with him in the heat of the war. He was only 5years old. 2 Sam 8:15 emphasized that David ruled over all Israel executing judgment and justice. 2 Sam 9: 1-13. Main Observations: VS 1 – is there anyone in the house of Saul that I might show God’s kindness for Jonathan’s sake. (Note not for Saul‘s sake, Saul tried to kill me, but Jonathan was a covenant brother.) I can hear the echoes of Mercy and whispers of love, the kind of love God showed to you and me that He gave His only son for us John 3:16. And while we are yet sinners, the scriptures says, Jesus Christ died for us. We are all sitting here today as beneficiaries of God benevolence and I can still hear the spirit of God, the echoes of mercy saying “is there anyone among you that needs Gods kindness and mercy. Not anyone who is Rich, deserving, highly placed or educated with many PhD, but anyone who needs mercy of God. I had that call years a ago and instead of anyone I put my name. God gave an open cheque and I wrote my name on it. Paul wrote in 1Cor 1:26-27 – Read God is not calling us to be strong in our self. Initially God is calling us to be weak so that we can find strength in Him...

...Quarter One: Quarter one begins with an introduction to the Marketplace. It gave me an overview of what I should expect from the queries, gave an overview of stimulation, and the scenario of marketing of a microcomputer business. I was given to manage the PC division a new line of microcomputers into four international markets. This quarter also gave me a preview of how to be successful in business and marketing by finding out what customers want and giving them that product. My first task was to decide my company name, the target segment, responsibilities and the first location I would sell my computers. First, company name was the easiest of the assignments. ...boss at that time. His name was James, and he was more than forty years old. He was an American overseas Chinese. Before he set up a culture company for which I worked, he was the CEO of an electric appliance company. He always treated people very friendly with a big smile, and he was concerned about the health and mood of his employees. The sense of accomplishment which I got from my first job is really unforgettable. Under James’ leadership, I felt valuable to the company. He asked us to do the work with a clear purpose, and gave us up to date information in the regular meetings. When you were recognized in a company-wide meeting, a sense of pride was indescribable. The company had just set up recently, and our business was overseas cultural exchange. Most of us were engaged in a new field, even our boss. Our work was certainly imperfect, because we were in the exploratory stage. However, our boss never blamed our work; he just said to keep it up. The boss gave out wages personally every monthly. As a result of the small-scale, the boss would take one day at the end of the month for a face-to face interview with everyone. Mostly, he encouraged us and talked about promotion initiatives. There was also a very intimate habit, that each time he would send everyone a specialty gift from his hometown after we finished the conversation. The most motivation for us was the effect our boss had. He did not sit in the office everyday and throw the work to us. Conversely, he was busy...

...is no enough space for writing about all of them so we picked seven more interesting ones for us. The first presentation we listened to was about economic freedom's effects in host countries and FDI. The objective was investigating the influence of economic freedom in foreign direct investment. In this poster there were 6 different variables and hypothesis and they're tested with statistical analysis. After these analysis we saw that hypothesis one, which is "Trade and investment barriers will be inversely related to the inflow of FDI." was the only one that rejected while other ones were supported. With these informations the conclusion of the research was that MNE's prefer the countries that have least government intervention which is equal to political freedom. The next presentation was about growth and if it attract FDI. The main purpose of the research was to investigate if success in economic growth attract FDI. To investigate this the researchers used theories about how economic growth either attract, deterrent or is neutral towards FDI. To investigate this they used a quantitative approach that is based on 946 observations from 140 empirical studies. The results gave that that growth is a significant determinant of FDI but decides of the partial correlation is rather small. They also found that the economic growth is more important for developing countries. The conclusion gave that economic growth is an important determinant for FDI. The third presentation was about...

In no place did she show a lack of familiarity with any source texts surrounding these topics. Her command of the facts was only tempered by two aspects: her conspicuous usage of notes during the talk and her lack of reference to specific rhetorical analysis of the source texts. During her talk, she seemed mostly to be reading directly from prepared notes, rather than relating these facts off the top of her head. This did not distract from the...

...always worked around people of my country. Though my client was a US company, but we had interactions only through mails. So I though team dynamics is more of dividing the work and working together because you have all the people of like mindedness around you. However, after coming here it was a totally different experience for me. Being an exchange student for international exposure, this subject and various activities helped me in good understanding of team dynamics. The group that I was assigned to had people from diverse background- Russia, Africa, India. So it was a perfect blend of totally different cultures. Forming Stage: Since the group was formed by Mam randomly, we were forced to come out of our comfortable zone and be more interactive and work with others who were not already friends with us. Hence, it started out as formal temporary team. We didn’t had any problems introducing ourselves and was excited to work together initially. We came up with a common goal about the preference that would be given to this subject for various assignments and group activities. We also started thinking of some norms that we should follow while working together since everyone was from different background and may have different preferences. Storming Stage: Initially there were conflict regarding who will be the leader. But after discussing, and knowing about each other, we came to know that since all of us belong to different places, and have experience in different areas...

...principle of incentives. Incentives means of urging to do more of a good thing or less of a bad thing. :A The Authors identify three kinds: 1. Economic Incentivesperson responds in the marketplace – 2. Social Incentivesmotivate people to respond in a certain way – because they care (or are worried) about how they’ll be viewed by others 3. Moral Incentivesappeal to a person’s sense of right versus wrong – Informational Asymmetry : Situation in which one party has more information than the other party. Snob Effect : The desired to own exclusive or unique goods. The demand increases as the price increases. Freakonomics provided me with concrete illustrations of how unconventional methods of data collection and analysis are often necessary to make sense of the world. Knowing what to measure (and how to measure) data makes a complicated world ... somewhere less complicated. As I read the dumbstrucking Freakonomics, I found this quote, “If you learn how to look at data in the right way, you can explain riddles that otherwise might have seemed impossible. Because there is nothing like the sheer power of numbers to scrub away layers of confusion and contradiction." Introduction, pg. 13. This quote follows exactly what I said previously perfectly. Chapter 1: HAT DO ALL SCHOOLTEACHERS AND SUMO W WRESTLERS HAVE IN COMMON? The authors begin by defining economics as nothing more than the study of incentives and how they are pursued. They...
