An analysis of both Skate and Fun Zone and Cavalier found that, although both alternatives offered great options, Cavalier better met our chosen criteria in cost, food options, and operating time. It is therefore the recommendation that we utilize Cavalier for my daughter’s upcoming birthday party. Thank you for allowing me the opportunity to research potential party choices. How to Plan A Social Event There are step to planning a social event and it is real simple. There’s budgeting, guests, entertainment, refreshments. It sounds like a lot but when I explain it trust me it will put your mind at ease. Budgeting is a good foundation to start for any party. When budgeting think of how much you want to spend and make it a reasonable amount not like 50 dollars a good amount. When budgeting it’s always good to have the money already and check prices on what you want at the party and how many guests you plan to attend. Guests are an important part to planning because you need guest for a party. When inviting guests write a list first of whom you want at the party. ...Do you remember going to birthday parties when you were a kid? How excited you were and the amount of fun you would have? This little girl, who went to have fun with her friends, founds out that social class truly does affect how people will act to her. In the story “The Stolen Party,” Liliana Heker uses foreshadowing, communion tropes, and irony to share the theme of social class is hard to overcome. In the beginning of the story, Rosura’s mother warns her about the difference between them and rich people. As stated “That one’s not your friend. You know what you are to them? The maid’s daughter, that’s what.” (118) This is foreshadowing to the theme that social class is hard to overcome, and also hints how the party is going to go for Rosura. Once she did get to the party she encounters a little girl. She says “you are not a friend of Luciana because I’m her cousin and I know all her friends. And I don’t know you” (119) This leads back to the theme as well because the little girl with a bow is rich, and doesn’t know Rosura. She doesn’t understand why a girl she’s never seen before would be there. This hints towards the end of the story....

... Reflection (Block Party 11/7/10) One experience I recently had was going to a Block party. The Block party was crazy; they had lots of food, drinks, games and even beer. I enjoyed meeting new people and interacting with them. This experience helped me learn more about the students of UB and the fun we have at UB. Meeting new students at UB was pleasing. With some of the new students I met, we discussed more on the feeling of UB, in other words do we enjoy our time here? Well I had some interesting feedback from couple students, some were pre-law and others were undergraduates. Students who were pre-law seemed more into work because many of them had the fun back when they were undergraduates and now as pre-law students, they mainly focused on work. Undergrads were different, they enjoy the time here but it really isn’t for them. In other words they want to have fun, they want to see what college experience is really like so when they graduate than they can focus on the work and be more serious. This experience was important because you meet new friends but most of all you gather the feedback from different students to see the feeling they had towards university of Baltimore. You had a sense of feeling of what UB is all about. The Block party was a party for students to release stress from all the work and come out to have fun. The theme of the party was a Pirate setting. This experience would have been more helpful if the party had a better DJ. The DJ they had...

But no there was a party held by a bunch of nerds. Lame right well it wasn’t. Few people went but they had fun together. The 2 boys names where Tysen and Dayton, Tysen was peculiar. ...many disrespectful purposes, like mummy unwrapping parties. In these parties, mummies are unwrapped for fun which Poe satirized in his story. The topic of Egypt mania is better satirized than the topic of progress in science and knowledge in Edgar Allen Poe’s satire, “Some Words with a Mummy.” In the 1840’s, a popular trend was to take mummies from their tombs and disrespect them by putting them on display. Napoleon invading Egypt and the Rosetta Stone discovery caused people to go to Egypt. “Soon, historians, archaeologists, and anthropologists alike flocked to Egypt to excavate the tombs….” They originally went to study the inscriptions on the walls of temples but later had other intentions. “... gold, jewels, and mummies, many of which were taken back to Europe to be put on display in museums.” The tombs in Egypt were not meant to be excavated, and disrespected by mummies being taken and put on...

That you simply cant have fun without alcohol, or worse that non drinkers are lame prude party poopers. This is actually so ridiculously far from the truth. ...Throwing a good party is an art. Everyone can throw a party but it takes someone with experience and the know-how to throw one that all the guests will enjoy. A party can be a horrible experience if there’s no prior planning, direction and organization to make it work out. This essay will be the guide to planning the perfect party for young adults one step at a time. The first step will be choosing the right venue. One should pick a venue according to how many people are attending. If it is just a small gathering of not more than 10, pick a smaller venue. Too much space would result in the guests wandering around, limiting interactions and thus, making the party unenjoyable. Pick a larger venue if the number of guests is huge. A lack of space would deny the necessary space required for the guests to feel comfortable. One should also consider the location of the venue. The venue cannot be too inaccessible to the guests. The venue should also have some essential equipments, such as speakers for music or tables and chairs for the guests. A venue that meets the requirements of the party will make the guests feel comfortable and allowing them to enjoy what is planned ahead. The second step is to invite the guests. One should invite like-minded people or people from similar groups. This will allow the invited guests to have meaningful interaction throughout the party. Avoid inviting people that you know will clash with each other or have an obvious dislike for one another...
