On February 26, 2012 a young African American male named Trayvon Martin was gunned down. He was shot and killed by a Hispanic American name George Zimmerman. Trayvon was temporarily staying in a gated community where Zimmerman was the neighborhood watch coordinator. Zimmerman contacted the police because he believed in his mine that Trayvon looked suspicious because he walking between houses leisurely in the rain. After speaking with the police they advised Zimmerman that Trayvon had not been involved any reported criminal activity. A few minutes later while still being on the phone with dispatchers, a violent encounter between Zimmerman and Martin happened. He ended up being shot in the chest at close range. After Trayvon had been shot Zimmerman told police that he had been attacked. He had a bloody nose and two vertical lacerations on the back of the head. He was treated by paramedics then was taken to the Sanford Police Department. He was detained and questioned for about five hours and then was released with out being charged. On April 11, 2012 special prosecutors filed a charge of murder in the second degree against Zimmerman. . I think Zimmerman suffered from specific phobia because he was very suspicious of anyone the thought did not belong in the community where live. During the 18 months preceding the February 26 shooting he called the non-emergency police line seven times reporting suspicious looking men in the area. I believe that Zimmerman is a racist. As I follow this I believe that racism still exists because of how this case is being handled. I feel this way because he took the law in to his own hands. He made himself a threat when he got out of his vehicle after being advised by authorities not to follow Trayvon.. I think that he took the community block watch too far. If Zimmerman would have not murdered Trayvon it would have been another African American male. He was paranoid that’s why he called the non-emergency so many times. Zimmerman is making it seem like he’s a victim there is no way 158 pound unarmed person could have attacked a man with a weapon. What so sad about this case is that he meant to kill him because he of where he shot him. It also stands that if you have money and depending who you know in this world you can get out of anything. There is no way Zimmerman should have ever been able to make bail. He killed somebody. He shows no remorse for taking a parent’s son’s life. He should be charged with first degree murder. I do not think there is any kind of therapy or rehabilitation that can help him. He should get the death penalty. This was a senseless crime that could have been prevented. I do not believe there should be a Stand Your Ground Law. Senseless murders happen when people take the law in to their own hands. I truly feel sympathy for Sybrina Fulton and Tracy Martin for the loss of their son. If it was not for the media and the attorney for the Martin family I do not even believe he would have been charged. Even though this not my family I have a son that have to grow up in this racist world and I pray that I never have experience what this family is going through. The case has a long way to go I hope that they the family get the closer that they deserve. The last report as of October 17, 2012 is that a new judge has been assigned to the case and the tentative trial is not until June 10, 2013. If it would have been a black man that murdered a white male he would be still be sitting in jail until his court date and I would not take a entire year and half to get a conviction. This case have been very touching for me I will continue to follow the case to see how it ends.

Martin Letter

...John Bowman 1017 Pearl St. Unit B Santa Monica, CA 90405 Dear Mr. Bowman, I am sorry to inform you of our company’s decision to discontinue Martin, the show in which created and produced. Our decision to cancel the show came in the mist of the lawsuit between two of the cast member, Martin Lawrence and Tisha Campbell, although all the details have not been released. With that being said we, Fox Broadcasting Company, have came to the conclusion that nothing beneficial would come out of continuing the show especially with the main characters of the show going through a number of personal issues with each other. Also as the show continues for a number of years just like any other show the numbers begin to decline and the numbers for Martin have declined in every statistical category since the show began in 1992. The show’s ratings have almost been cut in half since the first season , in which there was 11.40 million viewers, compared to our most reason season, which is the 4th season that has a less than desirable 6.70 million viewers. With all that being said the show will not be just taken off the air. If it is possible to get both parties to put their issues to the side to conclude the show in a respectable way is what we would like to do for the sake of the loyal fans of Martin. I would like to thank you on behalf of everyone at Fox Broadcasting Network and we definitely look forward to working with you again if you any other ideas. Hope to hear back from you about...

Comparison Between Lockheed and Boeing

...Experiential Exercise: For this exercise, I chose to compare the websites of Boeing and Lockheed Martin. Two prominent companies in the aerospace and aviation industry, which is, and will most likely always be, the primary industry I'm employed in. Both companies' websites successfully convey information in a simplified and descriptive manner. With Lockheed Martin, there are navigational links for different levels of employment and experience levels, such as ex-military personnel transitioning into the civilian careers, new college graduates, interns, and experienced professionals. This simplifies the job search into a 'one-click' method in which interested applicants can view the opportunities that are available to their respective experience levels, as well as any further instructions for applying. Boeing, while also having links to different employment levels, seems more focused on communicating information about the company's ethics, history, and products. This field is based on staying on top of new technology and producing goods of exceptional quality, which means there is a . However, at some levels of both companies, there is a cost-leadership strategy in producing goods for the lowest cost and having employees more efficient than the other. Therefore, it appears that both companies are using a combination strategy, and doing so successfully. There seems to be an encouraged strong desire for entry level applicants with both companies, however, there...

Most of the teenagers are still having numerous dream jobs in their mind. Most of them not sure of what they want to be but they knew where they want to be. They want to live without worries , and live happily in the future. For me, as a 17-years-old student, my only aim for now is to pass my O'level with good grades so that i can get into the course that i want. After a while, i wanted to be an engineer like my father, a hotel owner after i visited to a grand hotel as i thought it would be awesome and a ballet dancer when i saw a Hong Kong movie about a beautiful ballet dancer. As i grew up i had more and more dreams. I wanted to be spy, detective, singer, and lastly architecture. And now i had realized, no matter how many dreams i had, there are some common factors about the dreams that i want. I wanted those career because i thought it would be cool, famous and mostly money. A&P by John Updike

...Xavian Arnold Dr. Patterson English 112 28 March 2012 A & P: An Analysis of the Character “Sammy” As people age, maturity and wisdom is gained through every experience. From the time a child turns eighteen and becomes an adult, they are required to deal with the realities of the real world and learn how to handle its responsibilities. In John Updike’s short story “A&P” the protagonist Sammy is a young man in 1961 New England who works in the town’s local grocery store. In a matter of a day, Updike goes from an immature boy with unrealistic ideas and fantasies, to a man who is about to realize how life altering the choices he makes can be. Sammy realizes that life isn’t always fair and that sometimes it involves the consequences that life can deal to anyone who has not had time to test a rash decision. Updike’s story illustrates that a part of growing up is a willingness to accept consequences of one’s choices, and that life's hardest lessons are sometimes learned a little too late. This story represents a coming-of-age for Sammy, as seen through his evaluations of the costumers as the story develops.  Though it takes place over the period of a few minutes, it represents a much larger process of Sammy’s growth.  From the time the girls enter the grocery store, to the moment they leave, you can see changes in Sammy.  At first, he only notices the physical appearance of the girls:  how they look and what they are wearing, seem to be his only thoughts.  As the story...

As far as the importance is concerned, there is no significant difference between art history and art theory. These two always correlated in every way in one aspect, learning art theory; obviously it will provide you the importance of art history at the same time, in studying, and engagement with art. When understanding art, philosophy attempts to come up with theories about art. This theory is maybe a set of principles that define and explains the full meaning of art. However, sometimes, just because a theory is wrong doesn't mean it has no value, we can describe the importance of every art theory even if it is wrong or right. For that reason, an art theory may satisfy necessary or enough conditions, and it will always find exceptions. As we go to the purpose of studying art theory, history should always be part of it. According to Robert Williams, Studying theory should be approached historically, that it is within a comprehensive history of art that the study of theory has most to offer. For example the contemporary art, that involves multifaceted of artists, artwork, audience, institutions. All of these aspects demonstrate with each other, and changes through history. This complex ideas change through history and produce tension between common and uncommon creativity. Works Cited The Introduction of the book (Art...
