...Management & EBusiness Search engine optimization 4/21/2012 Apr.21 SEO Search engine optimization (SEO) Search engine optimization (SEO) is the process of improving the visibility of a website or a web page in search engines' "natural," or un‐paid ("organic" or "algorithmic"), search results. In general, the earlier (or higher ranked on the search results page), and more frequently a site appears in the search results list, the more visitors it will receive from the search engine's users. SEO may target different kinds of search, including image search, local search, video search, academic search, news search and industry‐specific vertical search engines. As an Internet marketing strategy, SEO considers how search engines work, what people search for, the actual search terms or keywords typed into search engines and which search engines are preferred by their targeted audience. Optimizing a website may involve editing its content and HTML and associated coding to both increase its relevance to specific keywords and to remove barriers to the indexing activities of search engines. Promoting a site to increase the number of back links, or inbound links, is another SEO tactic. The acronym "SEOs" can refer to "search engine optimizers," a term adopted by an industry of consultants who carry out optimization projects on behalf of clients, and by employees who perform SEO services in‐house. Search engine optimizers may offer SEO as a stand‐alone service or as a part of a ...

Brunnstrom's therapy approach Brunnstrom approach emphasized the synergistic pattern present in the client with hemiplegia. This therapy facilitates the pattern by doing the same action of the affected limbs. This approach is commonly used by people with CVA and CNS involvement. The client must progress with the use of the synergies for motor learning and training. Bobath Approach The Bobath approach is the total opposite of the Brunnstrom's therapy approach. It avoids the synergistic pattern. Quality is more important than Quantity. The OT focuses on the opposite action to help the client 'un-learn' that reflex. ...Financial Times (London, England) October 20, 2011 Thursday London Edition 3 'Environmental migration' fears BYLINE: Clive Cookson in London SECTION: WORLD NEWS; Pg. 7 LENGTH: 448 wordsHIGHLIGHT: News analysisTens of millions of people are moving to places that are more vulnerable to environmental disaster, particularly the urban flood plains of Asia and Africa, according to a UK government report.By focusing mainly on the people displaced by drought, floods and famine, the world is neglecting those "trapped" in deteriorating environmental conditions or moving into them, says the study prepared by the government's Foresight programme that examines issues 20 to 80 years in the future. The report is the outcome of a two-year study involving 350 experts from 30 countries. It says the problems of migration in response to environmental change are far more complex and challenging than policymakers have realised. But the report, which looks ahead for 50 years, urges them to focus on the positive as well as negative impact of migration."Under some circumstances migration, particularly in low-income countries, can transform a community's ability to cope with environmental change," said Sir John Beddington, UK chief scientific adviser."The movement of individuals or small groups, even at a local or regional level, may increase the future resilience of large communities," he added."This will reduce the risk of both humanitarian disasters and of potentially destabilising mass migration...

...Professor Suh Sociology 101 3/13/2016 Alcoholism has become a very large social issue within the united states over the last several years. Not only is it a psychological problem but it’s also known as a family disease. A disease that can turn something that could potentially be great, into something that does nothing but bring others down. From parent to children relationships, to even spousal connection alcohol is known as one of the leading causes of conflict within families. I think that understanding and focusing on the problems that alcoholism can lead to could potentially help the incoming generations understand the importance of staying away from the drug. Alcoholism has many definitions in today’s society only because of the relevancy that this topic has gained. The random house dictionary of English language defines alcoholism as “a diseased condition due to the excessive use of alcoholic beverages” (p.35). While this definition is true, I feel as if there are far more important aspects to look at within alcoholism and that is the affects that it could potentially impose on your life. According to the U.S department of health and human services “76 million American adults have been exposed to alcoholism in the family” that’s a large amount of people that are potentially putting their relationships with their family in danger. According to Silverstein (1990), one of every four families has problems with alcohol. With this being said, it really makes people wonder why...

...THE RELEVANCE OF THE UNITED NATIONS IN THE POST-COLD WAR ERA: IRAQI INVASION AS A CASE STUDY BY ALADENIYI, EMMANUEL ABIODUN APRIL 2005 CHAPTER ONE INTRODUCTION BACKGROUND 1. The basic concepts and assumptions that led to the formation of the United Nations (UN) dates back to the beginning of statecraft and humanity’s first efforts to foster international cooperation. The treaty of the peace of Westphalia of 1648 is regarded at humanity’s first effort in statehood and fostering international cooperation. The formation of the UN is predicated on the evolution of diplomacy, alliances, conferences, rules of warfare, means of peaceful settlement of conflicts and the development of international law. The overriding purpose of the UN is war prevention. This purpose was earlier pursued by ancient Greek Philosophers, Plato and Aristotle, who wrote on the conditions necessary for peace.1 The church in the Middle Ages also enunciated a doctrine of “Just War” to limit violence and destruction by sanctioning only wars fought for justifiable courses. The pacifists and internationalists, like Desiderius Erasmus, condemned war in its entirety as “immoral and wasteful”. 2. The need to institute mechanics for peaceful settlement of disputes and prevent war encouraged the formation of various international organizations over time. These include the Congress of Vienna and Concert of Europe in 1815. The Hague System worked towards the codification...

... The tragic play Othello, written by William Shakespeare has caused constant dispute on whether the main character Othello can be considered as a tragic hero or not. Othello is a tragic hero because he mostly satisfies Aristotle’s four requirements for a tragic hero: peripeteia, hamartia, anagnorsis, and catharsis. The exploration of different aspects of the Othello character will give the readers of this essay insight regarding whether Othello is a tragic hero. Also the recent remake of the story, O, gives a more modern insight into how the character can be classified as a tragic hero. Othello, one of many tragedies of William Shakespeare, was written in the 1600s and based on an Italian short story called “Un Capitano Moro” according to Kennedy & Gioia (2010). The play consists of four different characters: Othello,...

...RAMOS, ROCELLE GRACE A. BSIE 2-1 The History of Economic Thought and Development Economics E conomic writings date from earlier Mesopotamian, Greek, Roman, Indian subcontinent, Chinese, Persian, and Arab civilizations. Notable writers from antiquity through to the 14th century include Aristotle, Xenophon, Chanakya (also known as Kautilya), Qin Shi Huang, Thomas Aquinas, and Ibn Khaldun. The works of Aristotle had a profound influence on Aquinas, who in turn influenced the late scholastics of the 14th to 17th centuries. Joseph Schumpeter described the latter as "coming nearer than any other group to being the 'founders' of scientific economics" as to monetary, interest, and value theory within a natural-law perspective. Two groups, later called 'mercantilists' and 'physiocrats', more directly influenced the subsequent development of the subject. Both groups were associated with the rise of economic nationalism and modern capitalism in Europe. Mercantilism was an economic doctrine that flourished from the 16th to 18th century in a prolific pamphlet literature, whether of merchants or statesmen. It held that a nation's wealth depended on its accumulation of gold and silver. Nations without access to mines could obtain gold and silver from trade only by selling goods abroad and restricting imports other than of gold and silver. The doctrine called for importing cheap raw materials to be used in manufacturing goods, which could be exported, and for state regulation...

...DIFFUSION OF TECHNOLOGY Introduction Several studies have been conducted on adoption of technology, but the most outstanding adoption model is provided by Rogers in his book, Diffusion of innovations. Medlin (2001) notes that Rodgers’ diffusion of innovations theory is the best suitable for exploring the adoption of technology in the educational setting. In most cases, research in diffusion incorporates technological innovations thus (Rodgers, 2003) uses the term “innovation” and “technology” synonymously. He then defines diffusion as “social exchange of communication dispersed through certain channels over time among the members of a social system” and on the other side Technology is defined as “a design for instrumental action that reduces uncertainty in the cause-effect relationships involved in achieving a desired outcome.” Diffusion of technology thus refers to adoption of instrumental ideas designed from one institution within a society to other parts of that society. This paper is an attempt to ground the principles of diffusion of technology theory and its compatibility with the Kenyan educational system. Literature review In sight of the diffusion aspect in technology, there seems to be an ample support for the claim that synchronized educational trends in a society evolve more swiftly unlike when each community evolves on its own. Although this may be true the question of its complexity fosters a debate on its diffusion rate not to mention the occupational aftermath...

...encyclopedia of philosophy). Libertarianism is sometimes identified with the principle that each agent has a right to maximum equal empirical negative liberty, where empirical negative liberty is the absence of forcible interference from other agents when attempts to do things. In a sense, Libertarianism is sometimes has to do with or equivalent to self-ownership. This is to say that, the Libertarian approach entrusts absolute freedom to individuals to embark on whatever activity they so wish be it joining association; politically, socially, academically just to mention few regardless of any moral view or perception that exists. Here, the individual is somehow his own boss and does things that pleases him. This research puts to bear the relevancy of the libertarian approach pertaining to the indecent dressing of the female students of the University of Cape Coast. Imaging not having control over anything you do and living your life as other people want you to live it. With viewing life from the Libertarian philosophy, libertarians will argue that each person should be able to live life as they want as long as they are not harming others. With the governments today, they create laws that protect people from themselves. This is hard for Libertarians to accept because in their opinions, each individual should have their own freedom. The core of Libertarianism is the fact that we own our bodies, our earnings, and this meaning the government has no...
