How does feminism affect our society? What reaction does our society have on feminism? What do men think about women that are pro feminism? For hundreds of years, women have fought to gain equality to men. Most women think that we are equal with men and don’t think we need to fight for equality. The women who decide to fight are called Feminist. A feminist is a woman or man who fights for women equality and women’s rights. When the Declaration of Independence was written it was obvious that men did not think of women equal. They thought of them as the ones who cook, clean, take care of the children and were not be able to go out and work. Women today are being told by men what to wear, how to act, and what to say. But most women are over being told what to do, that is why most women are becoming feminists. Most things women can do today, couldn’t be done hundreds of years ago. …show more content…

Malala Yousafzai fought for girls to go to school, even after she got shot she still fought for girls to go to school in Pakistan. Coco Chanel saw that women were wearing skirts and dresses and decided to put them in suits and pants. Billie Jean King was a woman that fought for equal pay. Betty Friedan was an author and feminist she challenged traditional roles for women. Ruth Ginsberg is the Director of Women’s Rights. Gloria Steinem is the leader in the Women’s movement.
