Imagine being a woman and going the drugstore and buying a pregnancy test, peeing on the stick and waiting for the results. For a woman finding out that she is pregnant, this outcome can be the best or the worst news of her life. A pregnant woman who doesn’t want to keep the baby has two options; either give the child up for adoption or have an abortion. Neither one is an easy decision to make, so whatever choice the woman make, we as a society should respect it. Abortion is a common procedure in America and having the option to abort the fetus can be beneficial for not only for the fetus but for the mother. Some reasons why women get abortions are that they aren’t financially or mentally stable, or the pregnancy may be dangerous. Women get an abortion because of one of many reasons. One of those is that many women may not be in the mental or financial state to take care of a baby. When a woman has an abortion to preserve her mental health, that fetus was mostly likely conceived out of rape or incest. For these women keeping the child would a constant reminder of the abuse. ...getting an abortion because they are taking the rights from an unborn baby. The baby did not choose this, the parents did. Abortion should not exist. People are not even thinking about the fetus, they are just taking a life. It is also hard for women after they get an abortion. Women can die from getting an abortion, and they pay so much money to kill their baby. Abortion should be illegal because it is cruel and is killing a human being; adoption is a better way than getting an abortion. When the egg is fertilized, that is when a human life begins and exists (10 why). The baby's heart starts to beat at 20 days. Brainwaves then develop in the baby’s brain at 40 days (10 evil). Persuasive Essay Against Abortion

...when giving birth to a beautiful baby. Which is why, before the child is supposed to be born, the woman manages to get an abortion. An abortion means to terminate the life of a fetus and it most often happens within the first 28 weeks of the pregnancy. However, it may be much later as well. According to students from the Alan Guttmacher Institute, there are about 1.1 million abortions each year in the United States. It is said that many women who perform abortion do it simply because they are not ready for a child and/or they will not be able to provide for the child after it is born. It is agreed that if a child will not be able to have a decent lifestyle, why bring them into the world? However, there are many other options other than abortion. Abortion should not be legal at any time of the pregnancy, simply because it means means ending a life of an innocent child, it not only affects the fetus but it...

...There Should be Limits to Abortion I do not believe there should be limitations on abortions. In my personally beliefs the government should not tell a woman what she can and can not do with their bodies. If a female decides to have a baby the choice whether to keep it or not should be up to her and her alone. Who is the government to tell a female she can not have an abortion, or put restrictions on having abortions? What is next are they going to limit the amount of children a female can have like they do in China? Why stop at females what kind of laws they going to be put against men. With the Patriotic law and our government spying on us is that not enough why tell females about abortions. Did the Women’s movement of the 1970s mean nothing at all if men still are going to tell females what to do? I wonder what is next are they going to turn over the 19th Amendment that allows women to vote. The government has entirely to much power over our lives. The Supreme Court decision in Roe V. Wade made it possible for a woman to have an abortion. Prior to the decision many women were dying performing illegal abortions all because they could not have a legal one. Studies show that prior to Roe V. Wade they were many unwanted pregnancies in America. According to The New York Daily News article entitled “Do People agree with Abortion” a staggering 89% of people agree that the government should not put limits on abortions. Another poll shows that 1% of all abortions occur because of rape...

Topic of Abortion

...There are many different viewpoints on the topic of abortion. Some individuals see it as murder while other individuals believe that everyone can make their own choices regarding their bodies. An abortion is the deliberate termination of a human pregnancy. In certain circumstances, an abortion is seen as acceptable and others believe there is no excuse for anyone to commit what is believed to be murder. Pro-life individuals believe in giving every unborn child a chance at life while pro-choice individuals believe that every woman has the right to make their own decisions regarding their body. Much of the country is split in the decision to keep abortion legal or illegal which is why a desired outcome is difficult to point out for the future of the country. The Main Issues Regarding Abortion There are two different viewpoints when discussing the topic of abortion. You have individuals that are “pro-life”, meaning that they believe intentionally caused abortions are wrong and considered murder because a human is taking away the life of another. Then there are pro-choice groups who believe that a woman should have access to whatever health care she needs and that she has control over her own body. Murder is the unlawful premeditated killing of one human being by another. But people debate whether a fetus is considered a human being at such an early state. On the other side, the pro-life individuals believe no matter how small, that a fetus is still a human. There are many situations...

Abortion

...“Pro-choice Abortion” Abortion has been one of the biggest controversies of all time. Many people believe it is immoral and even consider it to be murder. The definition of abortion is; “The termination of pregnancy by the removal or expulsion from the uterus of a fetus or embryo prior to being capable of normal growth.” 1 These pro-life believers do not support the idea of induced abortion and believe it should be illegal. Many of these supporters do not know that if abortion were illegal they would still be performed, unfortunately by an uneducated staffs. Over 70 thousand maternal deaths occur every year because of unsafe abortions1. These women die, so the idea of supporting pro-life is contradictory, this is why the nation should be pro-choice. Pro-choice believers support the right to privacy and the idea women should have the choice to do what she pleases with her own body. As an example; a woman is raped by a man and becomes pregnant with his child. She decides she doesn’t want to keep the baby; she has an abortion because the idea of raising a child of her rapist is too painful for her to cope with. Pro-choice defenders take sympathies to this woman while she then gets called a murderer by pro-life supporters. Abortions sometimes results in the woman being harassed because of the choice she has made about her own body. That’s what pro-life supports. Often time’s situations like this turns into harassment which can be considered to be part of anti-abortion violence1....

Women's Rights: The Political Concerns Of Abortion

...When talking about abortion rights there is a big controversy about why women should and shouldn't have that right. Put yourself in a women's position having to deal with a big decision to get an abortion or keep a baby. It is a lot of pressure and there are many men who oppose abortion rights along with women, although men don’t share the same connection to the fetus as the mother. People who are against abortion rights believe it violates civil rights--technically, the baby is not considered a human but a fetus. The political concerns of abortion is if the women should have the right to her body or does her body basically belong to the government who is proposing this abortion law. Abortion is a tough dilemma to deal with in the state of law. There are many reasons to why a women should not have the right to get an abortion. The biggest one that caught my attention was, it violates the fetuses civil rights conforming to Live Action News, “Unborn children are deprived of life – the most basic right of all – simply based on their location (their mother’s womb) and their developmental status,” the multitude of people who are against abortion...

Abortion

...is asking is should abortion should be legalized or not. Everyone has their very own opinion of this argument. My personal opinion is abortion should be illegal. My reason for saying this is because it’s not anyone’s fault that women gets pregnant and cannot take the consequences for their very own actions. We have plenty of other families out in the world that cannot have one child. Why have abortions when they can put their baby up for an adoption? Everything happens for a reason. If you’re not ready to take on the responsibility; it’s totally up to you on what your results of the situation would be. So many people had abortions because of many different personal reasons. Which are understandable and it may seem to be the right choice for them. Deciding on keeping the baby or having an abortion is a very hard decision and you should make sure that it’s what you really want to do. “Unmarried women used to be much more likely to put their children up for adoption”. A woman who wants their children and are willing to take care of them have a smaller investment in human capital, compared to the situation that existed before abortion was legalized. A single mother who may find a husband at a later date be more difficult. People who are for abortion are more likely to have sex without getting married which is when pregnancy should occur. Then the women gets pregnant and do not want the child or can’t provide for it so they determine to have an abortion. Why have unprotected sex...

Abortion Kills

...a thousand years ago abortion was performed illegally. From 1880 to year 1973, more than a thousand women were fatally injured because of illegal abortions (Medline). In 1973, abortion became legal in the United States, so women could get safer abortions (Medline). Even though abortion was legalized in the United States, women were still seeking illegal abortions, so no one found out. The privacy laws now keep women anonymous from people finding out they aborted their unwanted baby, also known as fetus. As a mother, I sometimes wonder what makes a woman decide to have an abortion. There are other options to choose from, but do the women know about them? Are women just oblivious when it comes to the different procedures abortionist do, and that the unborn baby does feel pain? There would be fewer abortions if women were properly educated. Abortion should not be a choice as it affects the women’s body and mind, their relationships, and the unborn baby. Some people feel abortion is not bad for women. They say women should have a choice in what they do with their bodies, and whether or not they want to have a baby. Yes, I do agree women should have a choice about their body, but you were the unborn baby with the heartbeat and growing, your mother had a choice. I know I am happy with the choice my mother made, how about you? If the mother does not want the baby there is always adoption. Someone else who cannot have a baby would love to adopt one. ...being able to experience the world we know of today? Many bypass this thought process when considering abortion. Women instead think of themselves and their situation when debating the option of abortion. Life is valuable period. Regardless of whether there are good outcomes of abortion, or negative outcomes of abortion, I am against abortion. Regardless of what is going on in life, women know that the only way to not get pregnant is through the choice of abstinence, but they still choose to have sex. With this being a problem it makes abortion look really evil due to careless and selfish choices that women are making today. Abortion has been overthrown and battled in many courts with different cases and the procedure of abortion has granted because the right of the constitution protects the choices that women make with the 13th, 14th, and 15th amendment. The constitution protects the rights of women in many different ways including the choice of what women want to do with their bodies. These three amendments make abortion legal and create a bigger problem of diminishing this evil operation for the fact that abortion has been approved by judges all across America. In prior cases, such as Roe vs. Wade, argue that in the case of abortion, it is unconstitutional to take the rights of women away as a citizen and force women to birth a child. In the case of Roe vs. Wade, abortion was granted and deemed constitutional and this decision was based on the 13th, 14th, and 15th amendment...

People think that abortion should not be an option for the mother that is carrying the child. This is indeed wrong. The decision to have a child or not is all up to the mother. Raising a child is not easy, nor is it carrying a fetus for nine months. When a woman knows that she is incapable of taking care of a baby, it keeps her in a cycle of deprivation. Abortion though, gives women a choice do to what is best for themselves and the baby. Not all women are capable of having the big responsibility of a child, it takes a profoundly amount of money to raise them up until they are 18 years old. Why would a woman with low income, possibly even no job in some occasions, have a baby knowing her life and the baby’s would be hard? This is why I believe in pro choice.
