...Knowlton and Fester. What personality model could you use to describe the clash? I would support that statement that there is an observable personality clash between Knowlton and Fester. Knowlton is taken back by Fester as he begins to feel somewhat inferior and not as content with his achievements in his project. According to the case, “Fester said some things that left Knowlton with a mixture of annoyance, irritation, and at the same time, a rather smug feeling of superiority in at least one area.” Referring back to the big five personality factors, Fester is emotionally stable, as well as Knowlton, but up to the point that he realizes leadership had been taken over, he becomes more less confident, rather disturbed. It said in the reading that Knowlton caught himself feeling apprehensive about the reaction that Fester might have to some of his work and that even Knowlton himself was a little surprised at his feelings because he had always been proud. Both men want to move forward with the project, and I feel like they were considerate to each other’s thoughts during the meetings. Fester is highly extraverted whereas Knowlton is more in the middle as the case goes on. In similarity, Knowlton and Fester are both open and conscientiousness. The GLOBE model could be used to describe the clash between Knowlton and Fester. This model addresses leadership qualities and recommends how leaders should conduct business in cultural clusters that are different from what they are accustomed...

PLATO Jorge Mendieta •Meta-ethical positions -Nihilism -Absolutism -Relativism •Nihilists debate whether or not one can justify morality without appeal to religion •Certain people believe that one must appeal to God to support moral beliefs •Religious moralists argue that without God, life has no meaning and there is reason to be good or just •Secular moralists claim that morality is independent from God and religion. ...Why should I move onto ESL 273 It is often said that it is the first step that is troublesome. I admit that I had many troubles at the beginning of this course. However, everything had changed. I am not longer a girl who doesn’t even know how to write a coherent and logical essay; I am a girl who can organize my essay sufficiently and express the central idea of my essay clearly. My organization of the essay used to be weak, but I was never willing to give up. After writing and practicing several essays, I feel that I had made great progress in the writing. For instance, I am able to use transitional sentences in my essays so that they will be more organized. Also, I had learned how to arrange my essay in order to make each of the paragraphs to be connected. On the other hand, I see the organization as the most important part of the writing. People may misunderstand my ideas that I want to show them because my organization is messy. Therefore, I spend time to reading and learning how to organize the essays. As a result, I am able to separate my essay orderly. Since I could dominate these basic writing skills, I have been confident to take next challenge course. Grammar, is the weakest part of my writing, cause I to lose points for essay. To be honest, I felt very uncomfortable and nervous when I was writing. Although I wrote some simple sentences, I still made many mistakes. For example, I always forgot to add “s” after a verb for the third person. I used to read some grammar...

...stairs to this loud, crowded, messy house, where tonight’s ‘phat’ party is being held. I take in the horrible smell of burning tobacco floating through the air being produced by young adolescents who have their 12oz. in one hand, and their Marlboro burning in the other. Black lungs, lung cancer, and that terrible smokers cough is all I can think of as I walk past these kids to one of my high school buddies who enjoys getting his pack-a-day of nicotine, tar filled cancer sticks. Is their really such thing as a light cigarette? I hold these thoughts to myself, and continue to chitchat with my buddy for the five minutes or so it takes him to finish his ‘cig’ about random, immature, and funny topics that he will probably forget about in the next 30 minutes. I carry on with my night by taking a few short steps into the crowded party house. Waka Flocka Flames “No Hands” is blaring through the air, people dancing, laughing, talking, and flirting while drinking their 12oz. cans. Standing to my left is at first glance a very attractive young woman, at second glance is a college student whose face is peeling due to the excessive amount of makeup covering her entire face. She is already starting to talk like she is a forty year smoker. I just saw her outside with a full 12oz. that she was rapidly finishing in order to get herself to as many of us young people would put it, “On Her Level”. I keep walking and feel my feet sticking to the floor with every step from the spilled 12oz...

...The Dave Matthews Band When I think of The Dave Matthews Band, I also think of their jazzy pop rock music that has helped them become a musical sensation. The band consists of jazz and classical musicians and of course, Dave Matthews. Their music and songs are very unique and have not been heard before the band came about. They have touched millions of people’s hearts, especially mine. The fact that they sing about real situations and real issues that are going on the world today is what makes them my favorite band. Whether I am happy, sad, or mad, The Dave Matthews Band’s album “Big Whiskey and the GrooGrux King” always lifts my spirits and puts me in a better mood; their songs are inspirational. One of the songs that touch me the most is called “Funny the Way It Is”. This song is about the good and bad things going on in the world. The point being made is that even though many wonderful things are happening, bad things are occurring at the exact same time. “Funny the way it is, if you think about it/ One kid walks 10 miles to school, another's dropping out/ Funny the way it is, not right or wrong/ On a soldier's last breath, his baby's being born/ Funny the way it is, not right or wrong/ Somebody's broken heart become your favorite song/ Funny the way it is, if you think about it/ One kid walks 10 miles to school, another's dropping out” Not only does it discuss the fine times and poor times in life, but also how people take the privileges they have for granted. While kids...

This is evident from my consistent high scores, which helped me secure the top ranks in Singapore in the following subjects - 1st in Paper T3, 2nd in Paper F6, and 3rd in Paper T6. ...role for ‘Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice’. It’s now been revealed that rumour was only half true, because Snyder has confessed that he wanted Bale in the ‘Man Of Steel’ sequel, but in a completely different role to Batman. Snyder admitted to Film Ink that this would have been the ultimate proof that ‘Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice’ was in a completely different universe and reality to ‘Batman Begins’, ‘The Dark Knight’, and ‘The Dark Knight Rises’. “This is a total and opposite reality from the Chris Nolan movies,” Zack Snyder remarked. “It’s another universe, so we couldn’t hire Christian Bale if we wanted to, because he doesn’t exist in our world. Maybe we could hire him to play another part. We did talk about that briefly. I just wanted to hire Christian to play another part to make that obvious.” Zack Snyder then joked that Bale could have been plastered with make-up and then portrayed Alfred Pennyworth, a role that Jeremy Irons has in ‘Batman V Superman: Dawn Of...

Now, here we go with the bad stuff, since last year my sophomore year I have been struggling with my grades, due to working and not having the motivation, to do school work. That is one of the reasons why my parents and I decided that I should move here to PCS hoping that would change. ...Why I Should Be Allowed to Participate in Drug Court The past month has definitely been a learning experience for me. The biggest lesson that I have learned would have to be about complacency. Since I first started attending AA & NA meetings I have heard people say that they became complacent. They felt comfortable where they were in their sobriety and decided that it was okay to slack off a little bit. It was okay to miss the occasional meeting and not call their sponsor every day. Ultimately this always led to a relapse. I was lucky enough to not reach the point of relapsing even though I had become extremely complacent. I was comfortable with my job and only going to group once a week for one hour. I was doing the bare minimum when it came to my weekly meetings instead of going to a meeting a day like I was when I started Drug Court. I have learned that even though a job and a social life are important, I need to be sure that my sobriety comes first. I feel as though I was only days away from a relapse because of the people that I was surrounding myself with and situations that I allowed myself to be apart of. Thankfully I had a major wake up call and was allowed the opportunity to take a step back and see the error of my ways. That being said, I want to be able to participate in Drug Court ultimately so that I can grow. Staying sober wasn’t necessarily an issue for me because I was pretty much given an ultimatum: stay clean or go to prison. By being...

...Spotlight on one special bird in the cage While researching the lists of the authors, I was attracted to the author Maya Angelou, because I am personally interested in civil rights. In this essay, I am going to research whole biography about her which includes lots of work that she has completed, her general perspective and important event which affected people in that century. The reason why I chose her is to explore whether she should have been much popular or not. First I will find historical background of her so that every audience can know at least who she is. And then I will find her major works that she has done, popularity of work at that time, popularity of herself and hidden work which has potential to be popular at that time so...

...his public activities. Both Maya Angelou and Collective Soul share the hardships and oppression, which had been given to life and other people. Poem Maya Angelou Still I Rise and song Collective Soul December showing the effects of the individual through positive and negative expression. Poetry Maya Angelou and Collective Soul are similar in some respects, when broken down correctly. Collective Soul wrote "Why drink the water from my hand contagious as you think I am?"; reflects the same idea that the actions of Maya Angelou when she said, "Are you annoyed by my boldness Why did you suffer from sadness"; These two parts of his writings to make a similar question. Why do I push one world I that you can not wait for someone else? "Do not cry, do not just think aloud Turn your head now baby just spit me not to worry, not to speak of doubt Turn your head now baby just spit on me";. This is a complicated way of saying why I respect what you missed, because you can not stand the way I am. Just go with me, I try another law that if I shit. What good do it for you, let me down? I think that the question of the collective soul asks the person or group of persons that will be installed to the slaughter. Maya Angelou asks a similar question when he wrote: "My pride is hurt;?" Do not take an awful hard, because I laugh, I got diamonds at the meeting of my thighs;. This question is your opponent who chooses to treat it differently, like what the team asked the...
