360 Evaluation
The 360 evaluation is a method used to evaluate the performance of collaborators, through a network of feedbacks using several sources. Should be involved in the evaluation, all the people which relates to the evaluated person. The range of people giving the feedback goes from the superior, same level colleagues, subordinates, clients, suppliers and even the person should evaluate himself, allowing an overview of the employee’s performance under different angles.
Such evaluation is made through a specific questionnaire which aims to describe the behaviors and competences considered essentials by the company in order to achieve its objectives.

Objectives:
- Establish in a very clear way what is expected from the employee, based on the description and analyses of the job.
- Provide the employee with a counseling and follow up system, on which will be available the information about his/her strong and weak points. Reinforcing the good performance and identifying the points in need of improvement.
- To elaborate an action plan to apply the necessary changes on the not satisfactory performances.
- Establish goals to be achieved based on the company’s objectives.

Pre-requisites:
- Clear definition of all the competences expected for each of the positions of the company.
- Clear definition of the tasks and responsibilities’ of each one of the positions on the company.
- A system which allows the evaluation to happen, and assure the secrecy of the information.

Difficulties:
- Change on the culture. The evaluation shifted from an unilateral process to a multilateral one, where is necessary evaluate and being evaluated by other people.
- Show to all employees the gains with the new process of evaluation, stimulating and their full cooperation on the process.
- Lower level employees have usually a bigger difficulty on evaluating their superiors, This could happen because of lack of information about the purpose f the new system or because historical perspective of the company.

Outcomes:
- Optimization of productivity
- Gives an thorough orientation on performance
- Provides a whole diagnoses on employees performance
- Allows a better professional and personal development.
