With enough communication between the infant and the parents, they will be able to understand the language of their infancy. A calm baby with a smile on the face regardless of the surrounding, and always babbling in the crib in the morning. This type of baby is known as “The Angel baby”, according to Hogg. The only time “The Angel baby” will cry is when they are distressed by the signal given to the parents. The best way to calm this kind to baby is to simply hug the baby while humming a lullaby to put her to sleep (33).
“The Touchy baby” needs a reassurance of their close ones. Being ultrasensitive to the surrounding, “The Touchy baby” is fussy towards the people in contact with them, but hate to be alone for quite a while. Unlike “The Angel baby”, “The Touchy baby” has trouble sleeping and adapt to new surroundings, like new formula milk, an unexpected stranger or friend of parents, a skipped meal, etc. Hogg showed a womb-like carry is the best way to calm Touchy baby. Lying to a child is a taboo. One day they will find out about the truth and may have trust issues with the liar. Most of the parents threaten to leave the child behind, and that will mentally hurt a child deeply. A PhD professor emeritus of psychology at the University of Minnersota’s Institute of Child Development stated, “threatening your child with abandonment, even in seemingly lighthearted ways, can shake the foundation of security and well-being that you represent”

...Religion is a topic that has been universally debated tracing back to the beginning of time. Religion shapes our lives and the way we live our lives as well as the way people behave. There are too many religions to study and discuss in a single paper; therefore, this paper will take a closer look at Christianity as it is the most common religion in the world covering 33% of the world’s population (Fisher, 2005). Why do so many people believe the words of the Holy Bible and claim the Christian faith? Is Christianity the truth? To truly understand Christianity, we must dive deep into the Biblical teachings and share the primary foundation of their beliefs. “Christianity is a faith based on the life, teachings, death, and resurrection of Jesus” (Fisher, 2005, pg. 284). In the beginning of this story we must start with Jesus’ mother, the Virgin Mary was visited by an angel, whom told her that she would conceive a baby and he would be the Messiah. She should name him Immanuel, which means God with us. An angel visited Joseph as well, who told him that Mary was blessed by the Holy Spirit and would have a son, who would save the people from their sins. Mary and Joseph obeyed God, the baby was born in a stable, laid in a manager and they called him Jesus, meaning God with us (Matthew 1:18-25, New International Version). At the age of 30, Jesus started his mission and selected a group of 12 disciples to help him share his message. He went place to place and preached about God’s love...

His reasons for this seem, on the surface, quite selfish. He desires to be the father of an Olympic champion and he thinks if his son becomes a boxing world champion there will be enough money for all of the family to live on. For Venus, that sport is gymnastics where Tony wants Venus to achieve Olympic status. For Romeo, the sport is boxing where Tony wants Romeo to achieve a high profile career leading to a world championship. Yes. Mainly for financial reward it seems. ...Dianne Ventura Professor Dunn Hum: 1025 John and Mable Ringling Museum As we drove up to the entrance of the John and Mable Ringling Museum, I was taken back for a moment. How could I have lived here in Tampa for seventeen years and never visit this place? I walked in and saw the grounds; this place was huge, well kept and full of history. My first stop was a stroll through Marble rose garden, it was beautiful , over one thousand-two hundred roses are planted in the garden the beautiful marble sculptures was placed in the right order, not overpowering the garden but just enough to accent the landscape. The stroll quiet relaxing, the cool air flowing through the trees, the sweet smell of morning dew on rose petal was the perfect way to begin the day. As my stroll ended I was told that the large tree surrounding the ground was much smaller, giving Mable a clear view of her garden from every room in her mansion. My next stop was the Museum of Art, what a beautiful exhibit. This was actually my favorite place in the entire museum. The first thing that captured my eye, was the twenty feet DAVID towing over the garden. Even though it was not the original, it was radiant. His poise and grace just over took the outdoor quarter. Viewing a sculpture in a text book and actually touching and seeing it in person is amazing. Remembering what I was taught in class; I started reviewing him carefully. Searching for all the characteristics was amazing. I was enjoying this and...

Solomon and His Wisdom

...Kaylee Couser Biblical Literature Professor Sheffield Research Paper December 13, 2013 Solomon and His Wisdom Many individual throughout history have greatly impacted society and our lives. One such person is King Solomon. Ellen G. White in Prophets and Kings (Chapter 1) states that Solomon was anointed king when his father abdicated the throne. God had a great plan for Solomon to take him from strength to strength and glory to glory while inspiring the people of Israel to draw ever nearer to God and fulfill their covenant and destiny as His chosen people. Solomon’s early beginning was so full of promise and he did achieve a great deal of success during his reign.Solomon was anointed and proclaimed king in the closing years of his father David, who abdicated in his favor. The Victorian Age

...Семинар 6. Вопрос 1 THE VICTORIAN AGE   The Victorian Compromise The Victorian Age takes its name from Queen Victoria who ruled from 1837 to 1901; it was a complex era characterised by stability, progress and social reforms, and, in the mean time, by great problems such as poverty, injustice and social unrest; that’s why the Victorians felt obliged to promote and invent a rigid code of values that reflected the world as they wanted it to be, based on: * duty and hard work; * respectability: a mixture of both morality and hypocrisy, severity and conformity to social standards (possessions of good manners, ownership of a comfortable house, regular attendance at church and charitable activity); it distiguished the middle from the lower classes; * charity and philanthropy: an activity that involved many people, expecially women. The family was strictly patriarchal: the husband represented the authority and respectability, cosequently a single woman with a child was emarginated because of a wide-spread sense of female chastity. Sexuality was generaly repressed and that led to extreme manifestations of prudery. Colonialism was an important phenomenon and it led to a patriotism deeply influenced by ideas of racial superiority: British people thought that they were obeying to God by the imposition of their superior way of life. The concept of “the white man’s burden” was exalted in the works of colonial writers (such as Rudyard Kipling). This code of values, known...
