Business Communication Treads Communication within a business is a vital aspect that can determine the success or failure of a company. If communication between the employer and employees were not established, the daily and weekly job performance would not be productive to the company. Executives and manager use communication as a working tool to execute company polices and procedures to the employees. Communications allow the workers to express new ideas and concerns to management that may help to improve the job and possibly save the company money. Back in the early years of 1920 to 1970, society only means of communication was the telephone and talking face-to-face. Communication in today’s timeframe comes in many forms such as meetings, e-mails, texting, radio, reports, newspapers, and presentations. Businesses mainly use verbal communication as the company source of providing information throughout the organization. Verbal communication is not the only form of communication that exists; nonverbal communication is often used in a business environment. Executives, managers, supervisors, team leaders and training officials commonly use logos, graphics, charts, posters, and pictures to communicate. Communication skills are a valuable asset that employers seek during the hiring process. This type of skills can determine if the future employee will have a long-term meaning for the company success or growth. The second type of skills is writing because companies use writing as a second method of communication. Writing involves the process of writing memos, preparing PowerPoint and Excels presentations, along with other correspondence and formal reports. These reports are used to determine how the
